CokeJunky was kind enough to hand the reigns of this project over to me this past weekend. What I would like to do here is bring new life into this project, and start gathering some Utilities for Blender under one opensource roof. I have released the first file for the blendutil project. Admittedly it isn't much, but part of the point was for me to learn my way around sourceforge.
Even so, textport-0.0.0.tar.gz is the first whack at my concept of a text based exporter for games.
It supports animation and UV mapping, exporting the vertex list, and the face lists out.

Welcome to the Blender Utilities Project.
I am glad to see so much interest from others to work on this with me.
Soon I will be posting my first whack at a text-based exporter (textport.py), to see what others think. Once that is finished, I will be writing c-code to convert files from that into GL arrays for use in OpenGL programs/games. My personal bent on this project is to make the gameBlender even better for the task.... read more
