A new 'announce' list purely for release, bugs, and patch information will be added shortly on SourceForge called bixchange-announce. Please subscribe to this list (it will take about 24 hours for SourceForge to finish setting it up) to be notified of upcoming bugs and security patches as they become available. Thank you.

There is a security bug in version 1.8a (and previous releases) that is fixed with the new bixchange-v1.8a-servicepack1.tar file now on SourceForge (see the Version 1.8a package for the file).

Candidate releases now available on SourceForge for BixChange!

Weekly/bi-weekly builds of BixChange will now be available under the Pre-Releases backage. Please note: these releases are for beta-testers and developers only as they may contain bugs. Thanks!

Versions 1.7e through 1.7h were old versions, so we removed them from SourceForge. We mostly kept them around for posterity's sake. Sorry if this caused anyone confusion. Version 1.8a is the latest release and should be used instead to familiarize yourself with the system. The upcoming 1.8b contains test scripts, lots of bug fixes, and newer features. This release is currently in cross-platform testing and will be on SourceForge soon.

Thanks to the unexpected interest of late in BixChange a new starter's guide is now available in .PDF format at www.bixchange.com titled, BixChange In Five Minutes. This tutorial is a precursor to the somewhat scant Developer's Guide and contains information not found in the Emacs Quick Start.

FYI: BixChange is far from a dead project. Version 1.8b is in final testing and will support mod_perl's Apache::Registry module. Be on the lookout for that release before February is out.
