Some data can be shown as overlay over the 3d scene:
This layer type loads an image and renders it over the complete 3D-window. The image dimension is not used. You have to adjust the ratio of the 3D-window manually to avoid distortions. The transparency can be adjusted to blend between the image and the scene.
Like the previous "Add Image"-function, this layer type loads an image and can adjust its transparency. In addition it adjusts the ratio of the 3D-window and reads EXIF-values from the image. The focal length is used to adjust the camera of the 3d scene. To position the camera, the lat- and lon-position, orientation, pitch and altitude is read from the image. You can adjust the values in case the image doesn't contain all the settings. With the checkbox, the altitude can be made absolute to sea level or relative to the ground. The camera is positioned by right-clicking the layer name.
Reads a series of images from a folder and plays it as animated overlay.
