The import wizard uses the GDAL library to convert common GIS formats and projections into the ECW or JPEG2000 raster format with WGS84 projection. Supported raster formats are listet on the GDAL homepage: http://www.gdal.org/formats_list.html
Files can be added to the wizard by using either the + button or by dragging them into the "Add files" field. Some file information are shown like the number of bands, the data type, the detected NoData value and the min and max data value. The NoData entry in the table can be changed per file, or below the files a custom NoData value can be set for all files. If the source projection can't be determined by the wizard, it has to be provided as EPSG code. Files can be cropped to its content , by selecting "remove nodata borders". A click on import starts the conversion process, after which the new converted files are added to Biosphere, if "open after import" was selected.
