Recently my web server had a massive crash and reverted to a three month old backup. As a result I lost a significant amount of my bug tracking information, road map and also the demo site at developer.mecharius.com. As a result, I temporarily stopped development of bCMT.
I have now recommenced, and have made a few alterations to the code so that it functions correctly with codeigniter 1.61.
These changes can be viewed in the SVN repository.
The demo site at http://developer.mecharius.com/bcmt has been updated with a maintenance release (0.3046) to fix some bugs which effectively broke the installation.
I have found some errors on the demo site due to moving from a PHP5 development environment to a PHP4 web server. I have fixed these in the SVN version, and will be updating the demo site (http://developer.mecharius.com/bcmt/) soon.
A new version of bCMT - Devonport has been released! To see it in action either download the file from the links above, or go to the demo site at http://developer.mecharius.com/bcmt/
Its been a little while since an update, mostly because I went on holidays without a computer and then I've come straight back to basketball tournaments galore!
bCMT 0.3 Devonport is well underway, with approximately 80% of the planned changes being implemented. More news to follow soon.
Things have been a little quiet on here for the past few weeks, but bCMT development has been continuing behind the scenes. Some of the highlights from the past few weeks have included:
- Various bug fixes as identified on the project demo site.
- Interface improvements
- New feature - Report Cards - 50% complete but functional. This allows the creation and display of custom reports for players including text, charts, etc.... read more
A demo version of bCMT has been uploaded to http://developer.mecharius.com/bcmt/
This is the latest 'bleeding edge' version of the software (0.2015 Quoiba) and will be periodically wiped and updated. Please post any bugs, requests or updates on the forums (http://forums.mecharius.com)
I've updated the bCMT to fix errors that occur when the software is uploaded to a Linux server. For installation instruction, refer to the forum at http://forums.mecharius.com/
I've encountered some more errors in the 0.2007 that will make it pretty difficult to get bCMT running on anything but my local machine. I've decided to pull the download files offline until I get this sorted out.
My aim is to also have an install script to make configuration easy by the time I put some files back online. In the meantime, if I can get a demo site up and running I'll post it up here.
I've noticed some errors in the Quoiba release, basically where there is little information in the database a lot of errors are popping up on the team and player dashboards. These have been fixed, and bCMT 0.2007 has been added for download. See the "Support Requests" forum at http://forums.mecharius.com/ for more information.
I have added a forum at my website (http://forums.mecharius.com) which should be used for all feature and support requests for the bCMT. I'd also love it if you have any comments about the bCMT you post them over at my website.
The latest version of the Basketball Coaches Management Tool (0.2006 Quoiba) has been released. This version features substantial changes over the previous Legana release, and several bug fixes.
The change log can be viewed at http://mecharius.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=47&Itemid=39
I've had a rough week at work, so bCMT development has been a little slow. I've managed to do the bulk of coding and bug fixing that is going to go into the upcoming Quioba release (0.2). There are about three or four issues still outstanding, and one new feature to be implemented.
The current target date for the release of bCMT 0.2 Quioba is November 30th.
I've added three screenshots to the sourceforge website. They show the three main "dashboards" in the bCMT. These dashboards are the bulk of the bCMT data can be displayed or edited.
The next release of bCMT (version 0.20 "Quoiba") is nearing completion.
This version features extended team depth chart features, player rating features and event features. In addition some formatting issues from 0.10 Legana have been fixed, and there are several bug fixes.
