Maximum Play Time

(Updated 2020-8; BallroomDJ version 3.29.24)

The maximum play time is used for all types of playlists

The maximum play time limits the amount of time that a song can play. It is set as an option for the music player, and it can also be set on a per-playlist basis.

To set the maximum play time for all songs in all playlists, select the Configuration menu, select Options, then Player. Set the Maximum Play Time in minutes and seconds (e.g. 3:00).

To configure the maximum play time for a particular playlist, set the
Maximum Play Time in minutes and seconds in the playlist management tab. The maximum play time set in a playlist will override the maximum play time set in the player options.

If the song is longer than the maximum play time, the music player and the marquee will display the maximum play time, not the true length of the song.

Within a playlist, the maximum play time for a particular dance can also be set. Start Playlist Management and set the maximum play time for the dance.
