Configuring a Ramdisk for Linux

Add the following line to your /etc/fstab file:

/ramdisk   /ramdisk   tmpfs   defaults,size=256m   0   1

Adjust the size to suit your needs.

Create the /ramdisk directory and mount the new partition.
