Adding a Request from an External Source

(Updated 2020-8; BallroomDJ version 3.29.24)

An external request is any audio file not in the BallroomDJ database. This function can be used to copy audio files to be played from a USB memory stick, a CD or from elsewhere on the hard drive.

Select the Request External button in the music player. Select the audio file to be added to the music queue.

The song editor will display with any song information available. Update the title, dance and any other information to be changed and select the Save & Select button to add the requested song to the music queue.

If you forgot to change the song information, select the song in the player's music queue and select the Edit Selection in the Edit menu to change the requested song's information.

Once the song is in the music queue, it can be moved in the music queue like any other request.
