Editing Songs with the Music Manager

(Updated 2020-8; BallroomDJ version 3.29.24)

First, in the music manager, select the song or songs that you want to edit. Then select the Edit button. The song editor will display with the first selected song's information. The First, Next,
Previous and Find buttons may be used to navigate in the list of songs that were selected.

Make the changes to the song information and song playback controls and select the Save button. If you navigate away from the song without selecting Save, the changes to the song will not be made.

The Save button will automatically advance to the next song. This action can be changed in the options menu.

Update From Song Tags will read the song tag information from the audio file and update the song information with the tag information. The Save button must be selected afterwards to save the changes. This is useful when another program has been used to modify the song tags.

The Edit All button may be used to edit from the current song to the last of the selected songs. Be sure to select the First button if you want to edit all of the songs. Only certain fields may be changed during with Edit All. After making the changes to the song, select the Save All button or the Cancel Edit All button.
