The mobile marquee enables a web page that can be displayed on a mobile device to view the current marquee.

Mobile Marquee Select the mode for the mobile marquee, Off, Local or Internet.

Local mode is used for venues that do not have an internet connection. The DJ must bring their own router and connect it to the computer.

The router should be configured so that the computer always connects with the same IP address. In addition, the router should be configured to have an open wi-fi connection with no password.

In order for the dance patrons to view the mobile marquee, they will need to connect to the DJ's router's wi-fi.

Internet mode is used for venues that have an internet connection. The DJ is able to connect to the local wi-fi connection, but the DJ's computer may not get assigned the same IP address each time. The dance patrons may not have access to the venue's wi-fi.

In this case, the ballroomdj.org server is used to display the mobile marquee.

Mobile Marquee Port: Local mode only. The port number to use to connect to the mobile marquee.

Mobile Marquee Name: Internet mode only. A unique name used to identify the marquee that the dance patrons connect to. To create a unique name, it is best to use the studio name combined with the city name. No spaces are allowed.

Mobile Marquee Title: Displayed as the first line of the mobile marquee.

Connection Information: Displays a list of the IPv4 and IPv6 addresses found on the computer. For Local mode, select the connection that should be used for the local connection. For both Local and Internet mode, selecting the connection will change the QR code link.

QR Code: Select this link to display a QR Code that can be used by the dance patrons to connect to the mobile marquee. Copy this QR Code from the web page, and paste it into a document and create a poster with the information on how to connect. Print the poster and display it at your venue.
