Beta6 has been relased. After the long wait sinse Beta5, only 5 bug needed fixing, which means AServ is close to having a stable release.
Apologies for the wait
enjoy
The "long awaited" beta4 has now been released.
This fixes a LOAD of bugs, and makes AServ generally alot more stable and useable.
Thanks go especially to SeaIRC (http://www.SeaIRC.org) for helping with testing and finding the majority of the bugs.
I called it beta4 not stable1 as planned due to inability to totally stress test it right now.
Enjoy :)
Beta 2 has been released to fix the module loading bug in beta1. This release only fixes that bug as it prevents new modules being loaded to test with.
AServ 2 beta 1 has been released.
visit the releases page for downloads.
Beta 1 comes with no Warrantee and I am not liable for any damage it may cause etc
Please post any bugs on the bug tracker (http://aserv.ownage.org.uk).
The Pre-Alpha version of AServ is now completed, and it has progressed onto Beta1.
A MacOS X machine has been aquired and AServ has been tested, and passed. Other OSs listed on the TCL Wiki (http://wiki.tcl.tk) are still wanted for testing. (Must allow outgoing connections)
The main modules mod_account, mod_process and mod_chanserv are all running fine.
If you wish to help with testing, you can join the irc server irc://aserv.dataforce.org.uk:6677 and join #Feds.... read more
It order to make sure that AServ runs on as many platforms as possible I request access to machines with tcl installed, which are not running any of the following:
* Windows
* Linux (Redhat/Debian)
I would particularlly like to test on:
* Mac OS X
* Solaris
if you are able to help please contact me on Dataforce [at] ownage [dot] org [dot] uk
You will be given credit.
Development on AServ has now started :D
