I'm having difficulty getting Wake On LAN to work:

I'm trying to wake my desktop computer running Windows 10 from my laptop computer running Windows 10. The desktop computer is connected to my router via a wired connection and my laptop is connected to the same router via a wireless connection.

I have Wake On LAN installed on both computers and have verified that when both computers are powered up with the desktop computer in listening mode, the desktop computer is receiving wake-up packets from the laptop

When I attempt to do exactly the same thing with the desktop computer powered down, it does not respond to the wake-up packets

  • I'm doing this within my own local network so I'm not going through a router from the outside network
  • I've verifed that I have correctly set the BIOS settings on the desktop computer to enable Wake on LAN
  • I've verified that i have correctly set the settings in my network adapter to enable Wake on LAN
  • I've turned off "Fast Startup" in Windows 10

Any suggestions of what else I can do to furtherr troubleshoot this problem.
