We have setup in the WOL Schedule to wake just one workstation at 7:00am and shutdown at 7:00pm. This schedule is ignored and it never occurs. If we manually do this by right clicking on workstation object in GUI and selecting Wake or Shutdown it works every time.

How do we troubleshoot this to see what the issue is with WOL?

If you right-click the entry and say "run", what happens?
Does anything show up in the event log about the scheduled items?
If you look at the schedule using windows-task-scheduler, and go to /aquila technology/wakeonlan, is there anything wrong with those schedule entries?

Were the scheduled entries created with the same version of WOL that's running now?

    BasilDane,

We did try the Run on the scheduled item and the last result shows "Machine not found (0x2), however it always shows that so not sure if that is our last Run or a prior one. The details for the workstation are correct as I can right click on it and select Wake Up and it works.

Nothing shows in the Event log about scheduled items however my manual Wake Up does and shows workstation is now Online

When I open Task Scheduler (which I didn't really this wrote too) I get an error message immediately: User_Feed_Syncronization {etc etc}: The task image is corrupt or has been tampered with. I think this points to the cause however not sure how to rectify.

    Cheers,
    Dale.

    BasilDane,

Further to my last message, The error in Task Scheduler was unrelated (fixed that error listed above), however still when I select run for say the scheduled Wake Up it returns a last run result of (0x2) and doesn't wake the workstation.

Any further ideas ... maybe the command it is sending is incorrect. I can post that if it helps.

    Cheers,
    Dale.

You mean Windows Task scheduler immediately says "User_Feed_Syncronization"?
You have something corrupt on your computer, maybe a virus.
    What is the OS?

Correction or update: User_Feed_Synchronization updates your RSS feeds.

But does windows task sched run the tasks?

Deleted and recreated the scheduled tasks and now works. The issue was caused by renaming of the hosts and the scheduler not automatically updating - would be nice if it did.

      Kindest regards,
