hi,
I have no clue about the instructions in the user authentication section. can you explain?
what i want is when i enter the proxy in a browser, and use the proxy to access a website, the browser will prompt me for username and password to use the proxy.

    It should look like...

    And then on your computer, create a share folder and give access to your user. Change XXX to your computer name and YYY to your share folder.

    But user/password authentication is not supported in socks, only in the http/https proxy. See the "unsupported" section in the docs to see how to disable socks.

    It checks the windows shared folder with that user name and password.
    so you would set it up in windows.

    There're lots of other places where you can put the user authentication in the docs.
