Anna sucessfully navigated her way through a tough Semi-Final, becoming one of just eight ChatBots invited to the Loebner Prize Final in Atlanta, Georgia on October 12th. The original competition had 35 entrants, which was narrowed to 16 for the Semi-Finals.

Congratulations to everyone who helped with the project so far - and let's win in Atlanta!

Anna has been named one of the 16 Semi-Finalists for the 2002 Loebner Prize Competition. The 16 Semi-Finalists (out of 35 who entered) will participate in a web-based heat in September to determine which 8 chatbots will go to Georgia in October for the finals.

As you may (or may not) know, the 2002 Loebner Prize competition will take place in Atlanta. Ive personally only visited Atlanta once, so Im having a lot of trouble writing Atlanta-specific things. Also, Anna is supposed to be a student at Emory. I dont know anything about Emory, other than its in Atlanta.
