Newbie that thanks you for this! Finally found a AMV converter to work with this little cheap dollhouse tv I bought on Temu. Am I missing a setting to compress the videos? I have tested four different sized videos (25, 126, 226, and 870MB) and all end up bigger or smaller than the original size. The 25 went to 93.9, 126 to 142, 226 to 158, and 870 to 612MB. The original files are all MP4. Thank you in advance!

AMV was designed for very cheap players with weak processors. They can’t decode fancy codecs, so the format uses low compression that those chips can handle. That means a lot more data gets stored per second of video than in an H.264 MP4. The only way to fight this is by using a higher storage device or a shorter video. I know most devices only support fat32 which supports up to 32gb, in order to bypass this you'll have to use a fat32 formatter . As for the video, you can try compressing the video down to 360p/480p first then turn it into AMV. My program gives out a smaller file size compared to programs that provide a similar function.
