Alternative Javascript Glossary / News: Recent posts

Im starting to play with the database setup tool and the first basic fuctions are working. Due to my lack of time and coding experiency to play with it you must consider to be patient if you want to take a look at this setup tool. Several months can pass before I have time to do anything usefull to be published, but this project isnt died... ;)

The aim of this setup tool is to prepare the database entries to be used in the alt-js-glossary in an easy and reliable way. The functions will be: import database (it is working now, but need to get better); list the word entries (working); show the resultant database from editions (partially implemented - it will show the in memory database, reflecting any changes made to it on the fly) The other functions will be add entries, delete entries, modify entries, sort entries alphabetically and stabilish relationships between words. Some statistics may be generated too like total number of entries, total number of related words, mean size of entries, bigger entry, smallest entry and if it exists any repeated entries or related words.... read more

Recently I tried a modification in the glossary database format, in a way it is possible to place all explanation entries in a single file.
This new approach will be usefull in the moment this application will use the lists to search for words, related concepts and be able to recognize text on the opener page.
At now, only the word.html page was implemented this way, and I need to develop an alhabetical ordering algorithm to use both in the alphabetical ordered lists and to use in the database creation app.
Unfortunately I will have little time this year to continue developing the glossary tool, and any new release can delay a bit.

I need help from good souls (alive at course) that knows a little javascript and html or PHP to continue developing this script, according to the "What to do" documentation entry posted in the project's page.

I need help with English Language spelling too.

I have nothing to offer more than my gratitude and to publish your name in the "Acknowledgements" documentation entry.

I need help on creating a config file where the webmaster will set-up some shared variables for the script.

The shared variables will be:
1) The path where the script was installed
2) The location of the custon privacy police page
3) The location of the "request a word in glossary" feature
4) The status of the "request a word in glossary" feature
