I'm not quite sure. but it seems the backup daemon is not being reported as expected.

as you can see in the attached image, the backup daemon is running (yes, it is actually copying data during this screenshot) how ever, it is reported as not running. it should be, right?

Yes, but it is running, as the Status page shows, only reported as not
running. Certainly a glitch.

Notice that the "backup service" is just  a cron job, as you can see by
using Configure in the cron service, with one or more grayed out
"/usr/bin/backup" commands.

Perhaps activating the cron service will solve the backup display issue?
cron is running in your system.

I don't have a pristine Alt-F-1.0 box running to test further.

disabling the service (and saving the settings) does not bring it back "into-sync". nor does toggle back enabled.

is this working as designed
no, not the service display status. But the backup runs fine, right? A
Backup share should be available, and you can even inspect the logs, if
you have activated them.
{and I am just confused] ... or is there a problem here?!

thanks for the great firmware though!!

-DJ
