I have been getting back to C64 lately (this was my system in the 80's, I think everyone's system is in that era), and many I have succesfully loaded and played. Certain games for some reason, it loads but I can't seem to get it to start.
ex: Skramble was one of fav game by Anirog. It loads up fine but when it says to Press Fire Button to Play, it just would'nt. I went to all of the settings for P1 & P2 controls to no avail. Even pushing all the keys especially SPACE & RETURN, NADA.
Also, I manage to get a hold of a D64 image of Fix it Felix and tried it and same thing, it loads fine and can't get it to start just like Skramble.
Now, this 2 games I tried in CCS64 for DOS (b2.0) it all works.
Only thing about this program is that, you can't define the EXIT (ALT-X or ALT-F4) to ESC key (to make more Cab friendly) to exit out of the program and back to FE.
after some minutes/hour, I tried also 1 of my fav Jumpman Jr. I can start the game and its waiting for me to move the character and I can't not even JUMP. Went to all the settings including swapping the JOYTICK in the DIPSWITCH setting. Nothing works.
Is the C64 in Advmess have problems with certain games ?
