Acousto is currently undergoing a radical update including many improvements. Acceleration using hierarchical matrices techniques is one of these. Unfortunately the project is currently unsupported and the work on version 2.0 is not proceeding very fast. We hope to come out with a intermediate release soon (better management of the boundary conditions, easier installation, moving sources ...). The accelerated version will probably be released after summer.
