Open Source Java Video Software for Windows

This project was started as a Masters project back in 2006. I completed the project as part of my dissertation, and produced software to render Maya script (MEL) to animate a piano model I'd also created. From this I produced a number of videos, which I uploaded periodically to YouTube. Following numerous request I attempted to create a standalone application to playback MIDI performances without the need for a 3rd party 3d modelling/rendering application such as Maya. Given my original background in Java, and it's existing support for MIDI files, I proceeded to attempt to create this using Java 3D. However, (and this sounds like an excuse, which it probably is), life got in the way and I never completed the project to a commercial standard for reproduction. As such, I'm offering the source here in good will to other developers/musicians who might be able to take what I've achieved and carry it forward to a useful learning tool.

Gorp is an easy-to-use non-linear video editor primarily driven using a graphical interface. It is intended as an entry level tool for video editing, but will provide enough flexibility for more advanced users. Currently it can read and write MPG1 and MPG2 files, and transform them on the way. The number of transforms available is limited, but will grow. View the video flow at any part of the flow diagram, step forward, backward etc to make sure that it is correct. Write your own transforms in javascript and run them in gorp - complete with persistence to file, and parameter editing/checking through the GUI. Your work is saved as a text-based script - furure tools will allow direct scripting.

Permite dois tipos de pesquisa: - Automática: Seleccionando o ficheiro ou a directoria que contem o filme (desde que o item seleccionado inclua o nome /release do filme), o programa irá fazer uma pesquisa por esse nome / release nos titulos e descrições de várias legendas. Esta seleccção permite também seleccionar uma pasta com vários filmes, na qual o programa irá pesquisar as sub-pastas, considerando cada pasta um filme diferente. - Manual: Escrevendo o titulo do filme pretendido, irão ser mostrados os resultados e a sua descrição. Ao clicar em "Guardar legenda seleccionada" é nos perguntado onde pretendemos guardar a legenda, sendo esta guardada nessa localização, depois da confirmação. Versão: 1.0
