libdc1394 is a library that provides a high level programming interface for application developers who wish to control and capture streams from IEEE 1394 based cameras that conform to the 1394-based Digital Camera Specifications (also known as the IIDC or DCAM Specifications). libdc1394 also supports some USB cameras that are IIDC compliant. Besides capture and control, libdc1394 provides a full set of colour space conversion functions (including RAW decoding), vendor specific functions and direct camera register access. Stantor is a SCADA for home automation/domotic project. It drives : k8061-K8055(USB), K8000(I2C), Arduino Mega and Uno, X10, 1-Wire, electricity meters, Webcam (motion), infrared remote controls. It uses WEB browser, smartphone, xHTML, SOAP, Websocket, HTML5 Apache, mySQL, PHP, javascript and Ajax. Stantor allows control of electrical equipments like boilers, shutters, lamps, pumps, etc...connected to the 220V/110 VAC. Gathering information of various kinds such as temperature, light, switches, position sensors is provided by Stantor permanently in real time. Through the use of management system MySQL database, Stantor offers automation features customizable tasks. In particular it allows cyclical, calendar and planned tasks, but it can alert when an outbreak event (mail,sms,..).It also has the ability to launch computer program for specific uses.

A collection of tools and scripts for processing images and video from attached USB and FireWire webcams on Mac OS X. To start things off, there is a command-line tool for capturing webcam images.

AstroCTC (Astronomy CCD in Telescope Capture) is an application designed for video and image capture of the Planets and the Moon. A suitable astronomy or modified webcam will give the best results, however it will work with most webcams. The camera driver must be V4L2 compliant. Numerous video and image formats are available, however FITS image support is mostly basic and should only be used by those familiar with it. AstroCTC is intended for use with Linux only. While AstroCTC is primarily designed for use in astronomy, it can also serve as a general webcam program. The sample images shown were captured using a Meade LX90 8" and a Celestron NexImage camera.

Project to develop a driver for the Hauppauge WinTV PVR card

Veejay is a visual instrument and real-time video sampler. It allows you to "play" the video like you would play a piano. While playing, you can record the resulting video directly to disk (video sampling).
