Open Source Kotlin Text Editors

IdeaVim is an open-source plugin that brings the power and modal editing experience of the Vim text editor into JetBrains IDEs such as IntelliJ, PyCharm, CLion, WebStorm, and others, letting developers work with familiar Vim commands while still benefiting from full IDE features and tooling. It integrates deeply with the JetBrains platform to support Vim’s normal, insert, visual, and command-line modes, along with motions, search and replace, marks, registers, and many Ex commands, giving Vim users a highly productive editing experience inside modern IDE environments. IdeaVim can execute IDE actions directly from Vim keybindings or mappings, letting you bridge the gap between traditional Vim workflows and rich IDE functionality like refactoring, navigation, inspections, and code generation through customizable key mappings. Users can define their own .ideavimrc configuration file to tailor command behavior, source standard Vim configurations, and even hook actions from plugins.

Aztec (which extends EditText) is a rich-text editor component for writing HTML documents in Android. You can check the minimum Android version supported by looking at the minSdkVersion configuration within build.gradle. There is an optional list type you can enable in the editor. In addition to ordered and unordered lists you can use task list. A task list is an unordered list that shows and saves checkboxes instead of bullets. By default, Aztec allows nested blocks. In certain cases, this doesn't have to be the preferred behavior. There is an option to disable nested blocks. When switched, this editor will always add media and horizontal rules after the currently selected block, not in the middle of it. Aztec now supports placeholders to draw views that are not natively supported by the EditText and Spannable API. The functionality creates a span in the visual editor and draws an Android view over it.

Quarkdown is a lightweight Markdown processor and static site generator written in Java. It converts Markdown files into styled HTML pages with customizable themes, supporting blog creation and simple documentation websites. Quarkdown emphasizes simplicity and speed, providing an out-of-the-box experience for minimal personal sites.

AceJump is a plugin for the IntelliJ Platform that lets you jump to any symbol in the editor with just a few keystrokes. Press the keyboard shortcut for AceAction (Ctrl+; by default) to activate AceJump. Type any string in the editor, followed by one of the illustrated tags, to jump its position. Press the AceJump shortcut a second time to activate Declaration Mode, which is equivalent to the Navigate To action in the IDE. Press the AceJump shortcut three times before completing a tag to activate Target Mode. Once Target Mode is activated, jumping to a tag will select an entire word. Target Mode can also be activated directly by pressing the shortcut for AceTargetAction (Ctrl+Alt+; by default). Press the AceJump shortcut for Line Mode(Ctrl+Shift+; by default), to target the beginning, first non-whitespace, and last character of every line in the editor). Then jump to one by completing the tag.

To convert my Scala unit tests to Kolin unit tests as Scala is a pain to upgrade and I'm stock at Scala 1.12. Easier to move to Kotlin which also works fine with Android.
