Open Source Perl Test and Measurement Software

openEAR is the Munich Open-Source Emotion and Affect Recognition Toolkit developed at the Technische Universität München (TUM). It provides efficient (audio) feature extraction algorithms implemented in C++, classfiers, and pre-trained models on well-known emotion databases. It is now maintained and supported by audEERING. Updates will follow soon.

The goal of the Perl OBD-II Logger project is to create a flexible and efficient application that can capture and log OBD-II Mode 0x01 PID data from an automotive scantool. It is designed with accurate and efficient PID data logging in mind, and provides NO support for reading or resetting diagnostic trouble codes. By default, the output log file contains time-stamped PID values in a simple Comma Separated Values (CSV) format that can be readily imported into popular data analysis or spreadsheet applications. (Output to an SQLite3 database file is also available). It is written in Perl, so it runs in any computing environment with a working Perl interpreter. The program supports scantools that are based on the ELM Electronics ELM327 or OBD Solutions STN1110 programmed microcontrollers. It has been tested with scantools using legacy RS-232 serial, serial over USB, and Bluetooth hardware interfaces. Perl OBD-II Logger even runs on the popular Raspberry Pi computer!

RPi-Monitor is a monitoring tool which keep an eye on your computer and can give you the current status and the history of resources usages in a nice looking and interactive web interface. RPi-Monitor is design to be light and powerful and doesn't relies on other software to run. It has been deigned to run on embedded device and consume very few system resources.

Calculates alcohol content by weight and volume based on specific gravity readings. Also determines plato values, calories, refractive index and attenuation. If the values match a style of beer, or cider, it lists the style, and SRM for the style.

MoViT is a distributed software suite for the virtualization of mobile wireless networks. MoViT provides researchers and developers with a virtualized environment for developing and testing mobile applications and protocols for any hardware and software platform that can be virtualized. The distributed nature of MoViT allows for the emulation of mobile networks of arbitrary size. Additionally, the network connectivity is shaped transparently such that the connectivity observed by each virtual node resembles that of a physical mobile network.

It's a very light Redhat Linux and Oracle OVM System Performance Monitoring tool written in Perl using rrdtool for Database and Graphing. Allows you to query the RRD database given a set of dates and generates a web based graphs. Easy to install. Uses less disk space than most performance monitoring tool. Data of each host monitored is kept for 2 years and occupy less that 25 MB of disk space.

The Software for Controlling Testing Equipment - has been designed to automate data acquisition and equipment control. Written in Perl, uses the SCPI language to communicate with instruments via RS-232 (serial) or USB ports.

SimRecommender is a modular perl framework to simulate and test attacks on recommender systems. It uses a plug-in architecture to integrate different attacks and recommender algorithms.The development was supported by NSF award IIS-0812042 (see README).

Control a Tek TDS-820 remotely via a GPIB interface using linux-gpib, python, matplotlib and tkinter. The programming manual is used to generate an XML schema which is then used to assist in building extra functionality into the tkinter user interface.

'isotope' is a small command-line utility to calculate the isotope pattern for a given chemical formula. It allows to run calculations interactively, in batch mode, via the command line, or (using a webserver) via a web interface.
