Keras implementation of a CNN network for age and gender estimation. This is a Keras implementation of a CNN for estimating age and gender from a face image [1, 2]. In training, the IMDB-WIKI dataset is used. Because the face images in the UTKFace dataset is tightly cropped (there is no margin around the face region), faces should also be cropped in demo.py if weights trained by the UTKFace dataset is used. Please set the margin argument to 0 for tight cropping. You can evaluate a trained model on the APPA-REAL (validation) dataset. We pose the age regression problem as a deep classification problem followed by a softmax expected value refinement and show improvements over direct regression training of CNNs. Our proposed method, Deep EXpectation (DEX) of apparent age, first detects the face in the test image and then extracts the CNN predictions from an ensemble of 20 networks on the cropped face. -

Annoy (Approximate Nearest Neighbors Oh Yeah) is a C++ library with Python bindings to search for points in space that are close to a given query point. It also creates large read-only file-based data structures that are mmapped into memory so that many processes may share the same data. There are some other libraries to do nearest neighbor search. Annoy is almost as fast as the fastest libraries, (see below), but there is actually another feature that really sets Annoy apart: it has the ability to use static files as indexes. In particular, this means you can share index across processes. Annoy also decouples creating indexes from loading them, so you can pass around indexes as files and map them into memory quickly. Another nice thing of Annoy is that it tries to minimize memory footprint so the indexes are quite small. -

The Filesystem component provides platform-independent utilities for filesystem operations and for file/directory paths manipulation. The component contains two main classes called Filesystem and Path. mkdir() creates a directory recursively. On POSIX filesystems, directories are created with a default mode value 0777. You can use the second argument to set your own mode. exists() checks for the presence of one or more files or directories and returns false if any of them is missing. copy() makes a copy of a single file (use mirror() to copy directories). If the target already exists, the file is copied only if the source modification date is later than the target. This behavior can be overridden by the third boolean argument. touch() sets access and modification time for a file. The current time is used by default. You can set your own with the second argument. The third argument is the access time. -

The Finder component finds files and directories based on different criteria (name, file size, modification time, etc.) via an intuitive fluent interface. If you install this component outside of a Symfony application, you must require the vendor/autoload.php file in your code to enable the class autoloading mechanism provided by Composer. The $file variable is an instance of Symfony\Component\Finder\SplFileInfo which extends PHP’s own SplFileInfo to provide methods to work with relative paths. The Finder object doesn’t reset its internal state automatically. This means that you need to create a new instance if you do not want to get mixed results. The component provides lots of methods to define the search criteria. They all can be chained because they implement a fluent interface. The location is the only mandatory criteria. It tells the finder which directory to use for the search. -

And so research continues. For simpler training, you can directly supply text strings instead of precomputing text encodings. The Lightning Network Daemon (lnd), is a complete implementation of a Lightning Network node. lnd has several pluggable back-end chain services including btcd (a full-node), bitcoind, and neutrino (a new experimental light client). The project's codebase uses the btcsuite set of Bitcoin libraries and also exports a large set of isolated re-usable Lightning Network-related libraries within it, and fully conforms to the Lightning Network specification (BOLTs). BOLT stands for Basis of Lightning Technology. The specifications are currently being drafted by several groups of implementers based around the world including the developers of lnd. The set of specification documents as well as our implementation of the specification is still a work in progress. The daemon has been designed to be as developer-friendly as possible in order to facilitate application development on top of lnd. Two primary RPC interfaces are exported, an HTTP REST API, and a gRPC service. -

These are development builds and may be unstable. Using them may also increase the chances of your settings being corrupted, or having issues when upgrading to the next official release. Additionally, these builds are currently not optimized via PGO and will typically run 20-30% slower than the official release builds. -
