    Zeek

    Zeek

Zeek is a powerful network analysis framework

Zeek has a long history in the open source and digital security worlds. Vern Paxson began developing the project in the 1990s under the name “Bro” as a means to understand what was happening on his university and national laboratory networks. Vern and the project’s leadership team renamed Bro to Zeek in late 2018 to celebrate its expansion and continued development. Zeek is not an active security device, like a firewall or intrusion prevention system. Rather, Zeek sits on a “sensor,” a hardware, software, virtual, or cloud platform that quietly and unobtrusively observes network traffic. Zeek interprets what it sees and creates compact, high-fidelity transaction logs, file content, and fully customized output, suitable for manual review on disk or in a more analyst-friendly tool like a security and information event management (SIEM) system.

    Osquery

    Osquery

SQL operating system instrumentation and monitoring framework

Osquery is an operating system instrumentation framework for Windows, OS X (macOS), Linux, and FreeBSD. The tools make low-level operating system analytics and monitoring both performant and intuitive. Osquery exposes an operating system as a high-performance relational database. This allows you to write SQL queries to explore operating system data. With osquery, SQL tables represent abstract concepts such as running processes, loaded kernel modules, open network connections, browser plugins, hardware events or file hashes.Osquery queries your devices like a database. Osquery uses basic SQL commands to leverage a relational data-model to describe a device. Frequently, attackers will leave a malicious process running but delete the original binary on disk. This query returns any process whose original binary has been deleted, which could be an indicator of a suspicious process.

    Scapy

    Scapy

Scapy is a Python-based interactive packet manipulation program

Scapy is a powerful Python-based interactive packet manipulation program and library. It is able to forge or decode packets of a wide number of protocols, send them on the wire, capture them, store or read them using pcap files, match requests and replies, and much more. It is designed to allow fast packet prototyping by using default values that work. It can easily handle most classical tasks like scanning, tracerouting, probing, unit tests, attacks or network discovery (it can replace hping, 85% of nmap, arpspoof, arp-sk, arping, tcpdump, wireshark, p0f, etc.). It also performs very well at a lot of other specific tasks that most other tools can't handle, like sending invalid frames, injecting your own 802.11 frames, combining techniques (VLAN hopping+ARP cache poisoning, VoIP decoding on WEP protected channel, ...), etc. Scapy supports Python 2.7 and Python 3 (3.4 to 3.7). It's intended to be cross platform, and runs on many different platforms (Linux, OSX, *BSD, and Window

    Bagel

    Bagel

A little native network debugging tool for iOS

Bagel is a little native iOS network debugger. It's not a proxy debugger so you don't have to mess around with certificates, proxy settings etc. As long as your iOS devices and your Mac are in the same network, you can view the network traffic of your apps separated by the devices or simulators. Most basic usage is to start Bagel iOS before any network operation. Since Bagel exposes every request info to the public it would be better if you disable it for the store versions. By default, Bagel gets your project name and device information. The desktop client uses this information to separate projects and devices. You can configure these if you wish. Bagel framework communicates with the desktop client by using Bonjour protocol. You can also configure these Netservice parameters.

    Advanced Onion Router
Advanced Onion Router is a portable client for the OR network and is intended to be an improved alternative for Tor+Vidalia+Privoxy bundle for Windows users. Some of the improvements include UNICODE paths, support for HTTP and HTTPS proxy protocols on the same Socks4/Socks5 port with HTTP header filtering that generates fake identity-dependent headers every time the identity is changed (proxy chains are also supported), support for NTLM proxies, a User Interface that makes Tor's options and actions more accessible, local banlist for forbidden addresses, private identity isolation, a point-and-click process interceptor that can redirect connections from programs that don't support proxies, also giving them fake information about the local system and support for .onion addresses. Also, it can estimate AS paths for all circuits and prevent AS path intersections, it can restrict circuits to be built using only nodes from different countries, can change circuit lengths and more.

    ThinVNC - Web Remote Desktop

    ThinVNC - Web Remote Desktop

HTML5 Client for Remote Desktop Access

ThinVNC is a web remote access client (browser-based, HTML5). It's an improved version of the standard VNC protocol. It covers all the same scenarios, but shows a much better performance, without the need to install a PC client or any browser plugin. Once you install ThinVNC on the PC or Laptop that acts as "server", you just need a web browser to connect. Access your desktop and files remotely (even from mobile devices) and work as if you were just in from that computer. ThinVNC is a pure web Remote Access implementation (HTML5 & AJAX based). The web client works on any HTML5-compliant browser such as Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Opera, IE, or Edge. NOTE: This project was the first version of Thinfinity VNC. Visit our website try out the most recent version of this product and check our other virtualization, WFH, and RDP solutions.

    Envoy

    Envoy

    Cloud-native high-performance edge/middle/service proxy

Envoy is an open source, high-performance edge/middle/service proxy designed for cloud-native applications. It was built by Lyft to solve the common problem of networking and observability when moving to a distributed architecture. Envoy is a proxy designed for single services and applications. Aside from that it is also a communication bus and “universal data plane” designed for large microservice “service mesh” architectures. It runs right along with every application, and abstracts the network by providing common features in a platform-agnostic manner. With Envoy, visualizing problem areas becomes a lot easier thanks to consistent observability. It also helps with overall performance tuning, and easily adding substrate features in one place.
