Double Commander is a cross platform open source file manager with two panels side by side. It is inspired by Total Commander and features some new ideas.

Duply is a shell front end for the duplicity backup tool https://duplicity.us . It simplifies the usage by implementing backup job profiles, batch commands and more. Secure backup to non-trusted file spaces made easy.

FileRunner is a two pane file manager for Unix and Unix like systems. It is simple and efficient and has a built-in FTP and SFTP client. It also does a reasonable (and improving) job on Windows systems. New and improved from a FileRunner of long ago.

LinPHA is an easy to use, multilingual, flexible photo/image archive/album/gallery written in PHP. It uses a SQL database to store information about your pictures. It comes with a HTML based installer, so you don't need experience in setting up SQL

DavUtils is a collection of easy to use WebDAV client tools. The built-in client-side encryption allows you to encrypt and decrypt files on the fly with AES. Currently two command line tools are available: dav is a multipurpose WebDAV client that can be used like the standard unix tools ls, mkdir and rm. The other tool is dav-sync that can synchronize local files with a WebDAV server. It is very flexible and configurable and has advanced data safety features to prevent data loss. The integrated client-side AES encryption makes it secure to use public clouds.
