Open Source C Speech Software for Windows

eGuideDog project develops free software for the blind. Currently, we focus on WebSpeech, Ekho TTS and WebAnywhere.

SPTK is a suite of speech signal processing tools for UNIX environments, e.g., LPC analysis, PARCOR analysis, LSP analysis, PARCOR synthesis filter, LSP synthesis filter, vector quantization techniques, and other extended versions of them.

AhoTTS Iparrahotsa is the TTS developed at the Aholab Signal Processing Laboratory of the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU) for the Lapurdian dialect of Basque. This dialect is spoken at the Northern area of the Basque speaking area (French region). This project was funded by the Euroregion Aquitaine-Euskadi under grant EUSKADI-2012-004.

A machine translation program designed to accept verbal or text input and provide text or speech synthesized voice translation as output. Makes use of 3 current open-source projects. The source is currently C/C++ and embedded perl.

JeSpeak is a Java library that bridges eSpeak, which is a compact open source software speech synthesizer. JeSpeak uses JNI to make native call to libespeak.

A minimum voice generator. Maps text to sounds using also number to text (library included) transforms and spelling.

Speect is a multilingual TTS system. It offers a full text-to-speech system with various API's, as well as an environment for research and development of TTS systems and voices. It is written in ANSI C and uses a plug-in mechanism for extensions. Speect also includes an extensive set of Python bindings for quick implementation of new ideas, these bindings are derived from SWIG interface files and can easily be extended for other languages supported by SWIG. Speect is free and open source software. As a collection it is distributed under a MIT license.

Tiny player (up to 3 kb) for Jescola's Buzz. Includes Klatt speech synth (experimental). First release in 64k intro Yo-08 which took first place on Paradox 2002. C-version was created to be ported to assembler.
