Testing images for scientific purposes
The TESTIMAGES archive is a huge and free collection of sample images designed for analysis and quality assessment of different kinds of displays and image processing techniques. The archive includes more than 2 million images originally acquired and divided in three different categories: SAMPLING and SAMPLING_PATTERNS (aimed at testing resampling algorithms), COLOR (aimed at testing color rendering on different displays) and PATTERNS (aimed at testing the rendering of standard geometrical patterns). Card generator for the russian L1-3/L3-3 tube tester. WARNING: The software is still in alpha state, so there are definitely some bugs. If you want to use the created cards for real tests, check them manually with EXTREME care first .. else damage or destruction of your tester can easily occur. ESPECIALLY check if multiple conflicting functions are assigned to the same line (by looking on the universal card), which would lead to shorts. New release! Most of the old bugs should (still, no guarantees) be fixed by now and lots of functionality added. I created a good amount of cards for myself and they were all fine, so I deceided to make a public alpha release again. I also added a short manual (only German by now, translation soon follows) including a few examples. If anything gets wrong, please report to me. I need your reports to fix bugs. You can help move this to beta ;). -

Phrase-Based & Neural Unsupervised Machine Translation
Unsupervised Machine Translation is a research repository that implements both phrase-based SMT and neural MT approaches for translation without parallel corpora. The neural component supports multiple architectures—seq2seq, biLSTM with attention, and Transformer—and allows extensive parameter sharing across languages to improve data efficiency. Training relies on denoising auto-encoding and back-translation, with on-the-fly, multithreaded generation of synthetic parallel data to continually refresh supervision signals. The project also provides scripts to fetch and preprocess monolingual data, learn BPE codes, and train cross-lingual embeddings that bootstrap unsupervised alignment between languages. Beyond the core EMNLP 2018 setup, the codebase exposes additional, optional capabilities such as multi-language training, language model pretraining with shared parameters, and adversarial training. -

Isogeometric analysis (IGA) is a fundamental step forward in computational mechanics that offers the possibility of integrating methods for analysis into Computer Aided Design (CAD) tools and vice versa. The benefits of such an approach are evident, since the time taken from design to analysis is greatly reduced leading to large savings in cost and time for industry. The tight coupling of CAD and analysis within IGA requires knowledge from both fields and it is one of the goals of the MIGFEM is to provide a simple-to-understand IGA FEM code. XFEM
XFEM implementation in MATLAB
The extended finite element method (XFEM) classified, one of the partition of unity method (PUM), allows discontinuities to be simulated independently of the mesh. This is possible by adding appropriate functions to the FE approximation basis, for example, the Heaviside function. The discontinuities can evolve in time, without a need for a conforming mesh. A MATLAB implementation of the XFEM written by VP Nguyen, is given here. The interaction of cracks and crack-inclusion interaction is modelled with XFEM framework. The elements intersected by discontinuity surface are sub-divided into quadrature subcells aligned with the discontinuity and higher order quadrature is adopted. Automatic Compound Processing (AuCoPro)
Automatic compound splitting and semantic analysis of compounds
The central problem to be addressed in this project concerns a multidisciplinary (linguistics and computational linguistics) investigation into sharing of knowledge and resources between closely-related languages, specifically relating to the automatic processing of compounds. Specifically, we will explore the possibility to create new knowledge about closely-related languages, and efficiently develop additional, more advanced resources for (a) compound segmentation; and (b) the semantic analysis of compounds; as such, the project will be divided into two interrelated subprojects, to be executed simultaneously. The focus in this project will be on Afrikaans (with Dutch as the closely-related, well-sourced language), which will lay grounds for future work on other closely-related language pairs. -

The System predicts the presence or absence of ALLERGIC RHINITIS. The system is tailored to suit to the common allergens (inhalents and ingestants) prevalent in Chennai, South India. Intradermal Skin Test(IDST)data were collected from 872 patients who visited the Good Samaritan Kilpauk Lab and Allergy Testing Centre, Chennai, Tamilnadu, India. -

The environment is a hilly terrain which can also be user-defined in the form of a Bitmap image file (where intensity of red component defines height). It's similar to the classic "Terep 2". Particular care for internal cam. Written in standard C. There's a Windows executable ready for use, but it's compilable and playable on all Linux, BSD, MacOSX systems. The package provides SVM models to be used with SVMlight (http://svmlight.joachims.org/) for drawing a consensus out of individual 3rd-party predictions about the effect of mutations. The 3rd party tools are SIFT, Polyphen2, SNPs&GO and Mutation Assessor. The package also provides a series of Perl modules and scripts to assist in the preparation of data. The modules can be used to build custom tools and pipelines, whereas the scripts provide basic executable implementations based on the modules. SVMlight, SIFT, Polyphen2, SNPs&GO and Mutation Assessor are the property of their respective authors and institutions and are not distributed in this package. -
