Docear (pronounced dog-ear) is what we call an “academic literature suite”. It integrates everything you need to search, organize and create academic literature in a single application: a digital library, reference manager, PDF and file manager, note taking and mind mapping. And the best: Docear works seemlessly with many existing tools like Mendeley, Microsoft Word, and Foxit Reader. Docear is free and open source, based on Freeplane, funded by the German Federal Ministry of Technology and developed by scientists from around the world, among others from OvGU, and the University of California, Berkeley.

The Openstreetmap client can be used to access the map data of the Openstreetmap project without using a browser. The user can browse the maps, save the maps on his local PC.

BKWSimX ist eine kostenlose Simulationssoftware zur Planung und Wirtschaftlichkeitsbewertung steckerfertiger PV-Anlagen – ideal für Balkonkraftwerke mit oder ohne Speicher. Die Software erlaubt es, reale Standortdaten, Hardwarekomponenten und individuelle Lastprofile zu kombinieren, um den Eigenverbrauch, Jahresertrag und die Amortisation exakt zu berechnen. Die Benutzeroberfläche ist intuitiv gestaltet und erlaubt u. a. die Simulation mehrerer PV-Generatoren mit eigener Ausrichtung und Verschattung, den Vergleich unterschiedlicher Speichersysteme sowie die Berücksichtigung aller üblichen Verlustfaktoren. BKWSimX basiert auf Python, nutzt reale Wetterdaten der Europäischen Kommission (PVGIS) und richtet sich an alle, die fundierte Entscheidungen rund um ihre eigene PV-Anlage treffen möchten.

GPSylon is a Java moving map application that is able to display maps like in an atlas and show your position by the use of a gps device. It may track your path, load overlays (e.g. shape files), download maps from expedia servers. - The source code was moved to github!

HIStream is a clinical decision support system designed to operate on data streams. Rules can be specified using (fuzzy) logic formulas with temporal extensions (e.g. creatinine level high at least 3 days after surgery). All incoming clinical data can be stored in an integrated data warehouse (using postgresql). Additionally, incoming data can be forwarded to the clinical data warehouse project i2b2. THIS PROJECT IS CURRENTLY IN DEVELOPMENT. FIRST BETA RELEASE WILL BE PUBLISHED JUNE 2015.

Leseratte is a Java parser for German written language. Currently, it contains a German lexicon (based on the Wiktionary), inflexion rules, a grammar and a parser. (Semantics component planned.) Usable as a Java library, also provides a graphical UI.

iTLogger is the result of a software project at TU Ilmenau in 2012. Its aim was to create an app and corresponding desktop programm, so that people could track their journey on forest roads and later evaluate the data on their desktop. WARNING: This project is under hard development and not intended for productive use yet but only for discussion. jCLS helps to create and maintain fine detailed component libraries for EDA tools like Altium Designer. It provides tools for data generation for masses of single parts from only the most necessary informations. Having good maintained and rich described and voluptuous detailed component libraries needs normally masses of time, work and discipline. jCLS comes here to save you from the molesting parts of this job.
