A tool for organising, visualising and executing Web resources.
CloudPower is a Java application that offers functionality similar to that found in operating systems, for the World Wide Web. References to Web resources, whether they be static or dynamic can be arranged into sets. These sets can themselves contain other sets, allowing for resources to be arranged like files on an operating system. These sets can be saved and retrieved, allowing users to organise their cloud resources. Two graph visualisations (hierarchy and energy) let users quickly navigate the structure of references between resource sets. The energy visualisation is particularly good at showing this structure in a compact manner when the links represent information arranged as an arbitrarily directed graph rather than a tree. CloudPower also demonstrates how remote desktop applications can be displayed locally using X Windows, for any operating system and network configuration. If you want to access to a your personal computer from anywhere via "Windows Remote Desktop Connection" you have to: firstly, configure your modem. Secondly, you must know your IP. Here I assume that you know how to configure your modem (if don't please see my blog mahyar-et.blogspot.com) then you should use a program like MailIP to send your computer's IP automatically to your email even if you have dynamic valid IP. In this way you save money from not buying static IP because when ever your IP get changed "MailIP" will send the new IP to your email. Also you don't need to subscribe to slow services like LogMeIn or TeamViewer and you can easily use the default windows remote control program. -

This is an OSX everyboot script (it runs every time the Mac boots). It is aimed at corporate networks and diagnoses simple faults like a disconnected network cable or DHCP, DNS and AD connection issues. Any issues that are found will be displayed within the OSX Login Window message. The script does the following: Waits (a definable length of time) for the network services to be available (DHCP, DNS & AD) Sets the LocalHostName, HostName and ComputerName if neccessary Sets the login screen message to reflect HostName Workstation AD OU path Network issues (if any) Sets Remote Desktop computer info fields to show boot timings and AD OU. The boot timings show how long it took to load DHCP, DNS, AD etc, and the total time it took to boot up. -
