UPDATE 2024: Get a new version here: https://github.com/ivoras/EncryptedNotepad2 "Encrypted Notepad" does only one thing, but aims to do it perfectly - a Notepad-like simple text editor where files are saved (and later loaded) encrypted with industrial strength algorithms. Available both for the desktop (as a Java application) and on Android. Unencrypted data is never stored on-disk. Source is released (on SourceForge) under the BSD license.

SimpleCron
Simple Scheduler for Windows clients configured by a crontab-like file
Simple scheduler utility for Windows PCs which executes specified commands at specified times / days for the currently logged-in user. The specification of actions follows widely the crontab syntax as e.g. described in https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cron. Missed tasks will always be started at the next possible time, i.e. at the next system startup. Installation: * Install the Java runtime environment in at least version 1.8 (if not already installed). You can download it from https://www.java.com/download. * Select some program folder (e.g. C:\Program Files (x86)), download SimpleCron.zip there, and unpack it (=> <ProgramFolder>\SimpleCron). * Execute (by double clicking) InstallSimpleCron.vbs (this will establish the work folder C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Local\SimpleCronSimpleCron, create an entry in the Startup (AutoStart) folder, and start SimpleCron) * SimpleCron will (after start) remind you to edit the crontab as soon as possible. -

SimpleTimer is a Java-based, freeware tool, you can use as a countdown timer on your mobile device. This software is compiled and tested on devices with OS Symbian S60 2nd FP3 edition e.g. on NOKIA N70. Should work on other platforms too!!!
