Open Source C++ Physics Software for Mac

MCX is a GPU-accelerated, general-purpose, physically-accurate and feature-rich 3-D light transport simulator. It is one of the fastest simulators because it can use tens of thousands of GPU threads to simulate photons in parallel.

SeaBreeze is a device driver library that provides an interface to select Ocean Optics spectrometers. It is written in C/C++ and builds and runs on Windows (XP/7/8), MacOSX, and Linux (x86/x64/ARM).

BlochLib is an expression template library of generic data structures and algorithms to perform large scale nuclear magnetic resonance classical and quantum mechanical spin simulations, with many I/O capabilities,and integrated numerical routines.

DHPRE software uses Geant4 simulation toolkit for computing organ doses, effective dose and lifetime atributable cancer risk for humans exposed to external radiation field. It is mainly used for patients undergoing X-ray examinations such as radiography, mammography, dental panoramic and CT but can be used for any kind of radiations. INTERFACE is a small program to compute the correction to dosimeter reading when used in conditions other than the calibration ones. This package does not contain all data required to run, i.e. does not contain GEANT4 libraries and GEANT4 nuclear data (for saving space). It does contain however the X-Ray spectrum data. The aim of this project is to facilitate the development of open source software for the acceptance testing of commonly used PET (positron emission tomography) systems in accordance with published NEMA standards.

The Synaptic Simulator is a program which simulates models of single neuronal synapses and compartments, complex constructs of such models. Furthermore the program is able to regain parameters by fitting simulated results with experimental data.
