Pix is an image management application with image viewing, browsing, organizing and editing capabilities. It is part of the X-Apps project, which aims at producing cross-distribution and cross-desktop software. Pix supports numerous image types including: BMP, JPEG, GIF, PNG, TIFF, TGA, ICO and XPM; with optional support for RAW and HDR (high dynamic range) images. It is also able to view EXIF data attached to JPEG images. Pix has its own set of image editing tools that enable you to make color, hue, saturation, lightness and contrast adjustments, as well as a number of advanced tools such as slide shows, converting image format and more.

Mediadownloader is an opensource software that lets you search, watch and download items with Google Image and YouTube. It grabs video streams while browsing with firefox (only linux). Videos can be converted automatically using ffmpeg.

Hello and welcome to Homogram! Homogram is a light and simple software on premise to share your images. And it can be used as a private repository (screenshots, private shots, etc). Homogram is released under GPLv3 license, it is supplied AS-IS and we do not take any responsibility for its misusage. The name Homogram comes from a prank on the name 'instagram', in fact differently from the latter Homogram gives priorities to homines. This is yet another digital image manager. After using many other fine manager applications I found some things I wanted in an image manager that didn't exist in just one manager so I tried to create one that had all the features that I liked in one manager. One notable feature is the meta data or tags are stored in the image file itself so that when you move your image library the metadata and all the tagging work you did goes with the images. It is not perfect but it has been in use for years on my machine and I thought it time to share and see what other developers could bring to it.

Adobe Bridge is a great software for browsing and categorizing images. A missing feature is the immediate view of the image's histogram, the graphical representation of the tonal distribution in a digital image. The module supplies the Histogram Panel with the information required, using public API, Adobe object model and javascript language.

PhotoKit is a photo browser with impressive 3D effects and many slide effects. Features: 3D effects Slide effects (my another project NextEffect). Multi-touch (e.g. on N9) EXIF information. Share images to sina weibo. (for Chinese users) Online images with Google image search. Build debian package (make deb). PhotoKit can not manager photos now, just viewing. It will be possible in the future. The UI of PhotoKit is based on Qt graphics framework (except filedialog), so you will have the same experience on all platforms. On N9, it only supports landscape mode because the limitation of QWidget. At the begining, i just use many QWidget based components, but they are very ugly on Harmattan, so I have to wrote these components using graphics framework, e.g. button, textinput and dialog.
