Open Source Visual Basic .NET MARC and Book/Library Metadata Software

This utility is primarily focused on libraries, where one need to convert CCF data to MARC21 format, This contribution is on behalf of INFLIBNET Centre(http://www.inflibnet.ac.in).Development of tool has been done with VB.Net 2005 with Framework 2.0

MARCSifter is a lightweight app that lets you see the contents of a MARC records file and display record within it. Because MARCSifter has no editing capabilities, you can safely use it without fear of inadvertently making changes to the files you’re looking at. MARCSifter also includes a number of ways to find specific records within MARC record files.

METSbuilder is a digitisation tool. It extracts technical metadata from master image files and produces METS metadata packages for the item, containing structural, bibliographic (Dublin Core), technical image (MIX) and preservation (PREMIS) metadata.

Stores your favorites Books. Lets you track the Users logged,signed up. Time tracing of system access. Delete, and Add both Categories and Books. No fussy configurations, embedded database with Java Runtime Environment enabled.

This project is depricated. We apologize. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Windows Application that strips PDF's into text and converts to speech. You can save the extracted text also into text files, Word docs, csv's and rtf format. Browse for PDF's from the web, save them and strip them. Good for students, lecturers, theses and educational purposes. Some bugs yet to fix in the coming weeks, although these do not effect the functionality of the application. Wiki and documentation on the way as well, plus lots of features in backlog to release.
