KOMA-Script provides drop-in replacements for the LaTeX standard classes article, report, and book. These KOMA-Script classes scrartcl, scrreprt, and scrbook are much more configurable than the standard classes. Additionally, KOMA-Script provides a completely new designed letter class that is also very versatil. Predefined setting (letter class options) are available, e.g., for German letters, US-American letters, Swiss letters, French letters, and Japanese letters. There are several additional packages in KOMA-Script that may be used with other classes too, e.g.: - scrbase (basic features of the KOMA-Script classes) - tocbasic (features for tables of contents and creating more floats) - scrdate (date functions) - scrtime (current time) - scrlayer (virtual layers) - scrlayer-scrpage (page style configuration) - typearea (semi-automatic typing area and margin setup) - scrextend (extended features of the KOMA-Script classes) …

TikZ-dependency allows you to draw dependency graphs in LaTeX documents with little or no effort. The package has a very easy to learn, high level interface that can be used to draw simple dependency trees, complex non projective graphs, bubble parses, and in general any kind of graph which is based on a sequence of nodes and edges among these. It is based on PGF/TikZ and it can be used either with latex or pdflatex. It comes with a very comprehensive documentation that will get you started in 10 minutes, even without any prior knowledge of TikZ. It also provides a lot of styling facilities, to let you personalize the look and feel of the graphs at your liking.

'lilyglyphs' allows authors of LaTeX documents to include notational elements of the excellent notation software LilyPond (http://www.lilypond.org) in their continuous text. Different from other approaches it is possible to use virtually anything that can be created with LilyPond. To use lilyglyphs it is not necessary to have LilyPond installed. But you will need it if you want to extend the predefined commands with your own. A working Python installation isn't necessary either, but allows you to use some scripts that greatly simplify the creation of new commands.
