    Zopfli

    Zopfli

Zopfli Compression Algorithm is a compression library

Zopfli is a compression library and command-line tool that produces exceptionally small DEFLATE, zlib, and gzip streams by spending more CPU time to search for better encodings. It keeps strict compatibility with the ubiquitous DEFLATE format, so outputs can be decompressed by any standard tool or browser. The encoder performs exhaustive block splitting and greedy but thorough match searching to shave extra bytes off assets, which is ideal for web content and firmware where size matters more than compression time. A companion utility, zopflipng, targets PNGs by trying alternate filter strategies and recompressing IDAT chunks, often achieving additional savings without changing image quality. The codebase includes both a reusable library and ready-to-use CLI tools for bulk optimization in build pipelines. It is frequently used offline—e.g., as a final step in release builds—because decode speed remains normal while files get smaller.

    chinese-independent-developer

    chinese-independent-developer

List of independent developer projects in China

The chinese-independent-developer project is a large, community-maintained list of products created by Chinese independent developers, focused on real-world apps and websites rather than developer tools or forums. It serves as a directory that showcases what solo or small teams are building, making it easier for users to discover indie software and for developers to gain visibility. Entries in the list are categorized by status, such as in development, launched, or closed/maintenance-lacking, using simple iconography to convey state at a glance. The repository has attracted a substantial community, with many contributors helping to add, refine, and maintain entries over time. It also acts as a historical snapshot of the Chinese indie dev ecosystem, preserving projects even after they have stopped active development. For new indie creators, the list works as inspiration and a benchmark, illustrating a spectrum of product ideas, niches, and business models that others have tried.

    core.async

    core.async

Facilities for async programming and communication in Clojure

core.async is a Clojure library that brings asynchronous programming and communication to both Clojure and ClojureScript, enabling developers to write concurrent code using channels, go blocks, and CSP-style constructs rather than callbacks or threads. This project follows the version scheme MAJOR.MINOR.COMMITS where MAJOR and MINOR provide some relative indication of the size of the change, but do not follow semantic versioning. In general, all changes endeavor to be non-breaking (by moving to new names rather than by breaking existing names). COMMITS is an ever-increasing counter of commits since the beginning of this repository.

    edgetunnel

    edgetunnel

    edgetunnel 2.0 VLESS/Trojan

edgetunnel is a modified version of a serverless tunnelling solution designed to run on platforms like Cloudflare Workers and Pages, enabling protocols such as VLESS and Trojan to be exposed through edge-functions rather than traditional servers. The project’s fork by cmliu emphasizes conversion of protocol configuration (especially VLESS) into subscription links, so that users can deploy and then generate “Clash” or “Sing-box” compatible subscription content easily. It provides a streamlined way to host proxy endpoints without managing a full server stack, instead leveraging the edge network of Cloudflare for distribution and potential performance. Because it runs at the edge, latency can be minimized and deployment complexity simplified; users supply configuration variables (host, port, UUID, path) and the script handles mapping to technical protocols and subscription formatting.

    go-chart

    go-chart

go chart is a basic charting library in go

Package chart is a very simple golang native charting library that supports time-series and continuous line charts. Master should now be on the v3.x codebase, which overhauls the api significantly. Per usual, see examples for more information. Actual chart configurations and examples can be found in the ./examples/ directory. They are simple CLI programs that write to output.png (they are also updated with go generate. Everything on the chart.Chart object has defaults that can be overridden. Whenever a developer sets a property on the chart object, it is to be assumed that value will be used instead of the default. The best way to see the api in action is to look at the examples in the ./_examples/ directory. I wanted to make a charting library that used only native golang, that could be stood up on a server (i.e. it had built-in fonts). The goal with the API itself is to have the "zero value be useful", and to require the user to not code more than they absolutely needed.

    goquery

    goquery

A little like that j-thing, only in Go

goquery brings a syntax and a set of features similar to jQuery to the Go language. It is based on Go's net/HTML package and the CSS Selector library Cascadia. Since the net/html parser returns nodes, and not a full-featured DOM tree, jQuery's stateful manipulation functions (like height(), css(), and detach()) have been left off. Also, because the net/HTML parser requires UTF-8 encoding, so does goquery: it is the caller's responsibility to ensure that the source document provides UTF-8 encoded HTML. See the wiki for various options to do this. Syntax-wise, it is as close as possible to jQuery, with the same function names when possible, and that warm and fuzzy chainable interface. jQuery being the ultra-popular library that it is, I felt that writing a similar HTML-manipulating library was better to follow its API than to start anew (in the same spirit as Go's fmt package), even though some of its methods are less than intuitive (looking at you, index()...).

    html-pdf-chrome

    html-pdf-chrome

HTML to PDF or image (jpeg, png, webp) converter via Chrome/Chromium

HTML to PDF or image (jpeg, png, webp) converter via Chrome/Chromium. This library is NOT meant to accept untrusted user input. Doing so may have serious security risks such as Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF). If you run into CORS issues, try using the --disable-web-security Chrome flag, either when you start Chrome externally, or in options.chromeFlags. This option should only be used if you fully trust the code you are executing during a print job. It is strongly recommended that you keep Chrome running side-by-side with Node.js. There is significant overhead starting up Chrome for each PDF generation which can be easily avoided. By default, pages are saved as a PDF. To save as a screenshot instead, supply screenshotOptions. You can optionally provide an HTML template for a custom header and/or footer. There are a few CompletionTrigger types that wait for something to occur before triggering PDF printing.

    jsoup

    jsoup

Java library for working with real-world HTML

jsoup is a Java library for working with real-world HTML. It provides a very convenient API for fetching URLs and extracting and manipulating data, using the best of HTML5 DOM methods and CSS selectors. jsoup implements the WHATWG HTML5 specification, and parses HTML to the same DOM as modern browsers do. jsoup is designed to deal with all varieties of HTML found in the wild; from pristine and validating, to invalid tag-soup; jsoup will create a sensible parse tree. The parser will make every attempt to create a clean parse from the HTML you provide, regardless of whether the HTML is well-formed or not. You have HTML in a Java String, and you want to parse that HTML to get at its contents, or to make sure it's well formed, or to modify it. The String may have come from user input, a file, or from the web.

    libusbmuxd

    libusbmuxd

A client library to multiplex connections from and to iOS devices

A client library for applications to handle usbmux protocol connections with iOS devices. This project is a client library to multiplex connections from and to iOS devices alongside command-line utilities. It is primarily used by applications that use the libimobiledevice library to communicate with services running on iOS devices. The library does not establish a direct connection with a device but requires connecting to a socket provided by the usbmuxd daemon. The libimobiledevice project provides an open-source reimplementation of the usbmuxd daemon to use on Linux or as an alternative to communicate with iOS devices without the need to install iTunes. The architecture of the library and dependencies has been designed with an OOP approach in mind. Thus bindings for other programming languages are easier to create and allow an OOP based API. Linux enthusiasts were not amused about great but incompatible hardware like the iPhone 2G.

    Lua bindings for POSIX APIs

This is a POSIX binding for LuaJIT, Lua 5.1, 5.2, 5.3 and 5.4; like most libraries, it simply binds to C APIs on the underlying system, so it won't work on non-POSIX systems. However, it does try to detect the level of POSIX conformance of the underlying system and bind only available APIs. For a while, luaposix contained support for curses functionality too, but now that has its own lcurses repository again, where it is being maintained separately.

    nghttp2

    nghttp2

    HTTP/2 C Library and tools

nghttp2 is an implementation of HTTP/2 and its header compression algorithm HPACK in C. The framing layer of HTTP/2 is implemented as a form of reusable C library. On top of that, we have implemented HTTP/2 client, server and proxy. We have also developed a load test and benchmarking tool for HTTP/2. We have participated in httpbis working group since HTTP/2 draft-04, which is the first implementation draft. Since then we have updated nghttp2 library constantly to the latest specification and nghttp2 is now one of the most mature HTTP/2 implementations. HTTP/2 utilizes header compression method called HPACK. We offer HPACK encoder and decoder are available as public API. nghttp2 library itself is a bit low-level. The experimental high-level C++ API is also available. We have Python binding of this library, but we have not covered everything yet.
