    PieceOCake

    PieceOCake

A ridiculously simple Java save/load library

Do you ever curse Java for making it so ridiculously difficult just to save and load data? Do you ever say something like the following: "All I want to do is save the user's data! I don't want to deal with your BufferedWriters and HashMapThingies and stuff!" ...all in a remarkably incensed tone? Well, DON'T! There's a solution! It's a PIECE O' CAKE! Just use this handy dandy library and you can save/load like a champ. Forget about said BufferedWriters and HashMapThingies. What's so cakeriffic about this library: -Can store Strings, ints, and String arrays faithfully -Can completely ignore what goes on behind the scenes -Save() and load() methods to get your data. That's it. -So easy a subpar baker could use it How do you use it? Easy. -Tell PieceOCake what data you want to store. -Call the load() function. -Use get() and set() to, well, get and save your data. That's it. It's a Piece O Cake!

    Provider

    Provider

    InheritedWidgets, but simple

provider is a lightweight state management approach for Flutter that wraps InheritedWidget to expose data down the widget tree in a clean, idiomatic way. It popularized simple patterns like ChangeNotifierProvider and Consumer to rebuild only the widgets that need updates. The library offers convenient providers for synchronous values, streams, and futures, plus utilities like MultiProvider and ProxyProvider to compose dependencies. Its appeal is minimal boilerplate, readability, and ease of onboarding for teams new to Flutter. Because it relies on Flutter’s core mechanisms, it integrates seamlessly with common architectural styles and existing widgets. Many apps use provider as a baseline pattern, and later evolve toward more advanced solutions as complexity grows—without discarding the conceptual model provider introduces.

    React Native Voice

    React Native Voice

React Native Voice Recognition library for iOS and Android

A speech-to-text library for React Native. Manually or automatically link the NativeModule. Drag the Voice.xcodeproj from the @react-native-voice/voice/ios folder to the Libraries group on Xcode in your project. Click on your main project file (the one that represents the .xcodeproj) select Build Phases and drag the static library, lib.Voice.a, from the Libraries/Voice.xcodeproj/Products folder to Link Binary With Libraries. The plugin provides props for extra customization. Every time you change the props or plugins, you'll need to rebuild (and prebuild) the native app. If no extra properties are added, defaults will be used. While the included VoiceTest app works without explicit permissions checks and requests, it may be necessary to add a permission request for RECORD_AUDIO for some configurations. Since Android M (6.0), user need to grant permission at runtime (and not during app installation).

    ReactXP

    ReactXP

    Library for cross-platform app development

ReactXP builds on the popular React JS and React Native frameworks. Share most of your code between the web, iOS, Android, and Windows. Create great-looking, responsive web pages and mobile apps that feel native. With React and React Native, your web app can share most its logic with your iOS and Android apps, but the view layer needs to be implemented separately for each platform. We have taken this a step further and developed a thin cross-platform layer we call ReactXP. If you write your app to this abstraction, you can share your view definitions, styles and animations across multiple target platforms. Of course, you can still provide platform-specific UI variants, but this can be done selectively where desired. ReactXP is designed with cross-platform development in mind. In general, it exposes APIs, components, props, styles and animation parameters that are implemented in a consistent way across React JS (HTML) and React Native for iOS and Android.

    Refit

    Refit

The automatic type-safe REST library for .NET Core, Xamarin and .NET.

Refit is a library heavily inspired by Square’s Retrofit library, and it turns your REST API into a live interface. Refit currently supports the following platforms and any .NET Standard 2.0 target. Every method must have an HTTP attribute that provides the request method and relative URL. There are six built-in annotations: Get, Post, Put, Delete, Patch and Head. The relative URL of the resource is specified in the annotation. A request URL can be updated dynamically using replacement blocks and parameters on the method. A replacement block is an alphanumeric string surrounded by { and }. Parameters that are not specified as a URL substitution will automatically be used as query parameters. This is different than Retrofit, where all parameters must be explicitly specified. Round-tripping route parameter syntax: Forward slashes aren't encoded when using a double-asterisk (**) catch-all parameter syntax.

    Retrofit

    Retrofit

Type-safe HTTP client for Android and Java by Square

Retrofit is a type-safe HTTP client for Android and Java developed by Square. It allows developers to define REST API calls using simple interface annotations, automatically converting responses into Java objects using converters like Gson or Moshi. Retrofit greatly simplifies network requests by abstracting away boilerplate code, making API integration in mobile and Java apps seamless and maintainable.

    Riverpod

    Riverpod

A reactive caching and data-binding framework

Riverpod is a modern, framework-agnostic state management and dependency injection library for Dart and Flutter that emphasizes compile-time safety and explicit data flow. Instead of tying state to widget trees, it models state as providers that can be read anywhere, making logic more testable and decoupled from UI. It supports synchronous state, async data (futures/streams) with built-in loading/error handling, and advanced patterns like derived state and provider scopes. Riverpod’s design reduces rebuilds by letting widgets depend on fine-grained slices of state, which leads to predictable performance in complex apps. The ecosystem includes code generation and utilities that help catch invalid provider usage at compile time rather than at runtime. Overall, it encourages a clear separation of concerns and scales cleanly from small prototypes to large, multi-module applications.

    RxJava

    RxJava

    Reactive Extensions for the JVM

RxJava is a lightweight Java VM implementation of ReactiveX (Reactive Extensions). This is a library for the composition of asynchronous and event-based programs through observable sequences. It helps you write cleaner and simpler code by providing methods for solving problems quickly, and is easy to maintain and understand. RxJava works by extending the observer pattern in order to support sequences of data/events. It also allows you to compose sequences together declaratively through added operators, all while abstracting away concerns like low-level threading, thread-safety, concurrent data structures and synchronization. RxJava is commonly used for running simple background computations. It supports Java 6 or higher and languages that are based on JVM such as JRuby, Groovy and Clojure.

    RxJavaSamples

    RxJavaSamples

Examples of some of the most common usages of RxJava 2 and Retrofit

Examples of some of the most common uses of RxJava 2 with Retrofit. For the interface that needs to request the token first, then use flatMap() to connect the token request and the actual data request coherently, without having to write a nested Callback structure. For non-disposable tokens (tokens that can be reused), after obtaining the token, save it for repeated use, and use retryWhen() to automatically re-acquire the token when it expires, making the process of token acquisition completely transparent and simplified. Convert the returned data into a more convenient format and give it to the Observer.

    RxPermissions

    RxPermissions

Android runtime permissions powered by RxJava2

This library allows the usage of RxJava with the new Android M permission model. If you need to trigger the permission request from a specific event, you need to setup your event as an observable inside an initialization phase. You can use JakeWharton/RxBinding to turn your view to an observable (not included in the library). Because your app may be restarted during the permission request, the request must be done during an initialization phase. This may be Activity.onCreate, or View.onFinishInflate, but not pausing methods like onResume, because you'll potentially create an infinite request loop, as your requesting activity is paused by the framework during the permission request. If not, and if your app is restarted during the permission request (because of a configuration change for instance), the user's answer will never be emitted to the subscriber.

    Sizzle

    Sizzle

    A sizzlin' hot selector engine

A pure-JavaScript CSS selector engine designed to be easily dropped in to a host library. Browser support may differ between standalone Sizzle and libraries that include Sizzle. Please report issues on Sizzle's issue tracker, rather than the trackers for disparate libraries. In order to build Sizzle, you should have Node.js/npm latest and git 1.7 or later (earlier versions might work OK, but are not tested). For Windows you have to download and install git and Node.js. Mac OS users should install Homebrew. Once Homebrew is installed, run brew install git to install git, and brew install node to install Node.js. Linux/BSD users should use their appropriate package managers to install git and Node.js, or build from source if you swing that way. Workarounds for Internet Explorer 6 are still in the code but the browser is no longer actively tested. Sizzle supports virtually all CSS 3 Selectors, including escaped selectors (.foo\+bar), Unicode selectors, and more.

    Snap.js

    Snap.js

A Library for creating beautiful mobile shelfs in Javascript

A Library for creating beautiful mobile shelfs in Javascript. As standalone just include the file in a script tag. The slide intent is an int between 0 and 90, and represents the degrees in the first quadrant of a circle that you would like to have mirrored on the X and Y axis. For example, if you have 40 set as your slideIntent value, the user would only be able to slide the pane by dragging in the blue area in the diagram below. Once intent has been defined, it will not change until the user releases. CSS3 Powered Animations with IE fallbacks, drag support, drag handle support. Programatic API, "No-Drag" elements, and definable easing mode. Enable/disable events, disabled sides (left or right). It supports Ratchet (with templates!). Because of the nature of this code, drawers are just kind of stacked behind the content. To bring the proper drawer to the front, you can hook into Snaps.js' CSS classes.

    StickyListHeaders

    StickyListHeaders

An android library for section headers that stick to the top

StickyListHeaders is an Android library that makes it easy to integrate section headers in your ListView. These section headers stick to the top like in the new People app of Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. This behavior is also found in lists with sections on iOS devices. This library can also be used without the sticky functionality if you just want section headers. StickyListHeaders actively supports android versions 2.3 (gingerbread) and above. That said, it works all the way down to 2.1 but is not actively tested or working perfectly. The goal of this project is to deliver a high performance replacement to ListView. You should with minimal effort and time be able to add section headers to a list. This should be done via a simple to use API without any special features. This library will always priorities general use cases over special ones. This means that the library will add very few public methods to the standard ListView and will not try to work for every use case.

    Subsampling Scale Image View

    Subsampling Scale Image View

Deep zoom view for displaying huge images without loss of detail

Android library (AAR). Highly configurable, easily extendable deep zoom view for displaying huge images without loss of detail. Perfect for photo galleries, maps, building plans etc. A custom image view for Android, designed for photo galleries and displaying huge images (e.g. maps and building plans) without OutOfMemoryErrors. Includes pinch to zoom, panning, rotation and animation support, and allows easy extension so you can add your own overlays and touch event detection. The view optionally uses subsampling and tiles to support very large images - a low resolution base layer is loaded and as you zoom in, it is overlaid with smaller high resolution tiles for the visible area. This avoids holding too much data in memory. It's ideal for displaying large images while allowing you to zoom in to the high resolution details. You can disable tiling for smaller images and when displaying a bitmap object.
