    JSON5

    JSON5

    JSON5 — JSON for Humans

JSON5 is an extension to the popular JSON file format that aims to be easier to write and maintain by hand (e.g. for config files). It is not intended to be used for machine-to-machine communication. JSON5 was started in 2012, and as of 2022, now gets >65M downloads/week, ranks in the top 0.1% of the most depended-upon packages on npm, and has been adopted by major projects like Chromium, Next.js, Babel, Retool, WebStorm, and more. It's also natively supported on Apple platforms like MacOS and iOS. Formally, the JSON5 Data Interchange Format is a superset of JSON (so valid JSON files will always be valid JSON5 files) that expands its syntax to include some productions from ECMAScript 5.1 (ES5). It's also a subset of ES5, so valid JSON5 files will always be valid ES5. This JavaScript library is a reference implementation for JSON5 parsing and serialization and is directly used in many of the popular projects mentioned above.

    OSCAL

    OSCAL

Open Security Controls Assessment Language (OSCAL)

NIST is developing the Open Security Controls Assessment Language (OSCAL), a set of hierarchical, XML-, JSON-, and YAML-based formats that provide a standardized representation of information pertaining to the publication, implementation, and assessment of security controls. OSCAL is being developed through a collaborative approach with the public. Public contributions to this project are welcome. With this effort, we are stressing the agile development of a set of minimal formats that are generic enough to capture the breadth of data in scope (controls specifications), while also capable of ad-hoc tuning and extension to support peculiarities of both (industry or sector) standards and new control types. The OSCAL website provides an overview of the OSCAL project, including an XML and JSON schema reference, examples, and other resources.

    Serialize JavaScript

    Serialize JavaScript

Serialize JavaScript to a superset of JSON

Serialize JavaScript to a superset of JSON that includes regular expressions, dates and functions. The code in this package began its life as an internal module to express-state. To expand its usefulness, it now lives as serialize-javascript — an independent package on npm. A primary feature of this package is to serialize code to a string of literal JavaScript which can be embedded in an HTML document by adding it as the contents of the script element. In order to make this safe, HTML characters and JavaScript line terminators are escaped automatically.

    Vince's CSV Parser

    Vince's CSV Parser

A modern C++ library for reading, writing, and analyzing CSV

There's plenty of other CSV parsers in the wild, but I had a hard time finding what I wanted. Inspired by Python's csv module, I wanted a library with simple, intuitive syntax. Furthermore, I wanted support for special use cases such as calculating statistics on very large files. With the deluge of large datasets available, a performant CSV parser is a necessity. By using overlapped threads, memory-mapped IO, and efficient data structures, this parser can quickly tackle large CSV files. Furthermore, this parser has a minimal memory footprint and can handle larger-than-RAM files.

    jwx

    jwx

Implementation of various JWx (Javascript Object Signing

Go module implementing various JWx (JWA/JWE/JWK/JWS/JWT, otherwise known as JOSE) technologies. If you are using this module in your product or your company, please add your product and/or company name in the Wiki! It really helps keeping up our motivation. Complete coverage of JWA/JWE/JWK/JWS/JWT, not just JWT+minimum tool set. Supports JWS messages with multiple signatures, both compact and JSON serialization. Supports JWS with detached payload. Supports JWS with unencoded payload (RFC7797). Supports JWE messages with multiple recipients, both compact and JSON serialization. Most operations work with either JWK or raw keys e.g. *rsa.PrivateKey, *ecdsa.PrivateKey, etc). Opinionated, but very uniform API. Everything is symmetric, and follows a standard convention. Arguments are organized as explicit required paramters and optional WithXXXX() style options.

    Framework Benchmarks

Source for the TechEmpower Framework Benchmarks project

If you're new to the project, welcome! Please feel free to ask questions here. We encourage new frameworks and contributors to ask questions. We're here to help! This project provides representative performance measures across a wide field of web application frameworks. With much help from the community, coverage is quite broad and we are happy to broaden it further with contributions. The project presently includes frameworks on many languages including Go, Python, Java, Ruby, PHP, C#, F#,Clojure, Groovy, Dart, JavaScript, Erlang, Haskell, Scala, Perl, Lua, C, and others. The current tests exercise plaintext responses, JSON serialization, database reads and writes via the object-relational mapper (ORM), collections, sorting, server-side templates, and XSS counter-measures. Future tests will exercise other components and greater computation.

    HCL

    HCL

HCL is the HashiCorp configuration language

HCL is a toolkit for creating structured configuration languages that are both human- and machine-friendly, for use with command-line tools. Although intended to be generally useful, it is primarily targeted toward DevOps tools, servers, etc. HCL has both a native syntax, intended to be pleasant to read and write for humans, and a JSON-based variant that is easier for machines to generate and parse. It includes an expression syntax that allows basic inline computation and, with support from the calling application, the use of variables and functions for more dynamic configuration languages. HCL provides a set of constructs that can be used by a calling application to construct a configuration language. The application defines which attribute names and nested block types are expected, and HCL parses the configuration file, verifies that it conforms to the expected structure, and returns high-level objects that the application can use for further processing.

    Unbox

    Unbox

The easy to use Swift JSON decoder

Unbox is an easy-to-use Swift JSON decoder. Don't spend hours writing JSON decoding code - just unbox it instead. Unbox is lightweight, non-magical, and doesn't require you to subclass, make your JSON conform to a specific schema or completely change the way you write model code. It can be used on any model with ease. Unbox automatically (or, actually, Swift does) figures out what types your properties are, and decodes them accordingly.

Web filter lists for countless different topics

This is the place where I, Imre Kristoffer Eilertsen, host my web filter lists for countless different topics, for use in adblock tools and the like. GitHub was in mid-2017 by far the easiest way for laymen like me to store pure text files, which is a necessity to create subscribable lists. This is a hobby project of mine, in which I work just as much on these lists and this repo as I feel like. But don't be fooled by the appearance, as these are nevertheless some lists that I've placed lots of energy and effort into, for the enjoyment of all of us.

    ActiveModelSerializers

    ActiveModelSerializers

    Serializer implementation and Rails hooks

There's been a lot of churn around AMS since it began back in Rails 3.2 and a lot of new libraries are around and the JSON:API spec has reached 1.0. If there is to be a 1.0 release of AMS, it will need to address the general needs of serialization in much the way ActiveJob can be used with different workers. The next major release is in development. We're starting simple and avoiding, at least at the outset, all the complications in AMS version, especially all the implicit behavior from guessing the serializer, to the association's serializer, to the serialization type, etc. The basic idea is that models to serializers are a one to many relationship. Everything will need to be explicit. If you want to serialize a User with a UserSerializer, you'll need to call it directly. The serializer will essentially be for defining a basic JSON:API resource object: id, type, attributes, and relationships.

    Airframe

    Airframe

    Essential Building Blocks for Scala

Airframe is an essential building block for developing applications in Scala, including logging, object serialization using JSON or MessagePack, dependency injection, HTTP server/client with RPC support, functional testing with AirSpec, etc. Airframe RPC supports seamless integration of servers and clients using Scala as RPC interfaces. AirSpec is a simple unit testing framework for Scala and Scala.js. You can use public methods in your classes as test cases. There is no need to remember complex DSLs for writing tests in Scala. Retrying HTTP requests for API calls is an essential technique for connecting microservices. airframe-control will provide essential tools for making your requests reliable with exponential backoff retry, jitter, circuit-breaker, rate control, etc. airframe-fluentd supports logging your metrics to fluentd in a type-safe manner. You just need to send your case classes as metrics for fluentd.

    CloverDB

    CloverDB

A lightweight document-oriented NoSQL database written in pure Golang

CloverDB is a lightweight NoSQL database designed to be simple and easily maintainable, thanks to its small code base. It has been inspired by tinyDB. CloverDB has been written for being easily maintainable. As such, it trades performance with simplicity and is not intended to be an alternative to more performant databases such as MongoDB or MySQL. However, there are projects where running a separate database server may result overkilled, and, for simple queries, network delay may be the major performance bottleneck. For such scenarios, CloverDB may be a more suitable alternative. Previously, CloverDB relied on the Badger key-value store as a storage layer. However, Badger is not suitable for every scenario (for example, when the database size is a constraint). This is why, the storage layer of CloverDB has been abstracted through a set of interface types to work with any key-value store. At the moment, CloverDB can work with both Badger and Bolt (by default Bolt is used).
