KMIP4J is an open-source implementation of KMIP 1.0 in Java. This software was developed by Stefanie Meile and Michael Guster at the University of Applied Sciences "NTB - Interstaatliche Hochschule für Technik Buchs" (http://www.ntb.ch/ntb-homepage.html).

Built from the ground up around an MVC framework , it can be deployed on any Servlet 3.1 container or application server running at least Java 8, such as Tomcat, Jetty and JBoss/WildFly. Its clean design and implementation make JForum easy to customize and extend. There is extensive documentation of all aspects of the software at https://sourceforge.net/p/jforum2/wiki2/Home/ Source code and a beta build are available for running JForum on JakartaEE 10 environments such as Tomcat 10.1; it requires Java 11. This has not been tested as extensively, but does not have any known bugs. It is freely available under the BSD license, and has recently been awarded the SourceForge "Community Choice" badge.
