A graphical tool to create Finite Impulse Response (FIR) filters.

This application takes a so-called "Take-Out" ZIP file that has been downloaded from a SmartWatch and allows to analyse the health and other recorded data it contains. It allows to plot several data items and export specific data into CSV files for further use, e.g. with spreadsheet tools like Excel. It has been validated to work with Google and FitBit SmartWatches but will also work with similar data tracker archives.

This is part of the GAMES Project, which consists of a set of innovative methodologies and Open Source ICT tools for designing and managing energy efficiency in IT Service Centres. The ESMI is the monitoring and sensing infrastructure which allows the fine-grained measurement and provides both an event-based and a real-time stream of data conveying information about the energy consumption in the key points of the overall system. The Genomic Diversity and Phenotype Data Model (GDPDM) captures molecular and phenotypic diversity data. MySQL databases are used to implement the schema. This project develops software tools (written in Java, Perl, etc.) associated with this model.

GESPA (GEnomic Single nucleotide Polymorphism Analyzer) is a bioinformatics tool for classifying Nonsynonymous Single Nucleotide Polymorphisms (nsSNPs). GESPA predicts if a nsSNP is pathogenic using reports from literature and various algorithms to assess conservation in orthologous and paralogous protein alignments. Using reports from literature, GESPA is also able to predict the phenotype of a nsSNP with high accuracy. The software can be used clinically to determine if observed nsSNPs are associated with disease. A host of annotations are provided: orthologous and paralogous multiple sequence alignments, UCSC annotations, reports detailing conservation of a nsSNP in alignments, and links to external nsSNP and gene information such as relevant publications. GUItars's user-friendly graphical interface enables rapid analysis of RNAi and small molecule screens. GUItars uses SSMD for hit selection, which is preferred for its ability to diminish sample size effects and the false hit rate, making it superior to other widely used HTS analysis methods. The program can handle the analysis for screens without replicates as well as with replicates. For comparison purposes, non-SSMD-based methods such as percent activity, z-score, and t-test are also provided as scoring options. Version 2.1 released: several bugs fixed.
