Open Source Perl Image Converters

GraphicsMagick provides a set of commandline tools and programming APIs for manipulating, editing, and converting raster and vector images. It is derived from ImageMagick, with the objective of providing better stability and performance than ImageMagick while retaining the original MIT/X11 license.

A whole bunch of utilities for primitive manipulation of graphic images. Wide array of converters from one graphics format to another. E.g. from g3 fax format to jpeg. Many basic graphics editing tools such as magnifying and cropping.

Netpbm2Gimp automatically compiles the unmodified source code of a Netpbm graphics program into a GIMP plug-in. The result looks and functions like any other GIMP plug-in although it takes much less effort to produce than a hand-coded GIMP plug-in.

A set of Perl scripts wrapped in a Perl CGI to help with the automation of creating html photobooks for a set of JPEGs, esp. from digital cameras. It resizes images for thumbnails and web-sized images, adds captions, and auto-creates html.

TIFFtools is a set of C++ bindings for libtiff along with some utilities that expand on the programs packaged with libtiff. One utility is tiffmesh which can be used to knit together to TIFF files one with odd and the other with even pages.

WebPic is an application made for managing pictures taken from a digital camera. It allows you to scale and add descriptions to your images, and write html pages in varying format for web viewing.

Autoplot is a simple Perl script to plot Gnuplot files with simple dependency checking and conversion of the plots to different formats using rsvg-convert. The Gnuplot scripts must plot to a SVG terminal and output the result to STDOUT for the script to work as intended. The script reads all .gnuplot files in the working directory and creates SVG plots from them in svg subdirectory. SVG plots can be converted to PDF and PNG format, while the resulting files are placed in pdf and png directories, respectively.

"cmdfont" is a specially crafted pseudofont. It's used for information interchange between various typesetting programs. We have started the project because we wanted to enhance the MetaPost "special" instruction.

The dGIFLZW is a single file, pure perl subroutine collection for creation of GIF images on a per-pixel basis used in the bigger DiGiTrip.it project, a nautical navigation & GPS program working on Win, Mac and Linux written in Perl/Tk.

Dxf2svg is a small perl script to convert a vector graphic into SVG format. Work will be concentrated on the autocad DXF format first.
