This project aims to develop a parser for Finnish. The parser and the system of grammatical competence assumed herein, are based on the minimalist theory of grammar (Chomsky 1995, 2005) and Bare Lexicon Hypothesis (Brattico, in prep).

PeedyPal is a Visual Basic-based interactive personal assistant that runs on the Microsoft Agent framework.

MSTParser is a non-projective dependency parser that searches for maximum spanning trees over directed graphs. Models of dependency structure are based on large-margin discriminative training methods. Projective parsing is also supported. mstparser 0.5.1 is now available via Maven Central. OpenCCG, the OpenNLP CCG Library, is a collection of natural language processing components and tools which provide support for parsing and realization with Combinatory Categorial Grammar (CCG).

Active Shape/Appearance Model Library (ASMLibrary/AAMLibrary) source code, which includes ASMBuilding/AAMBuilding as well as ASMFitting/AAMFitting algorithm. It is developped under OpenCV 1.0 for locating features in a face and face recognition.

This project is to share my work in visual recognition of gestures. It shows how I have implemented person detection, color adaptation and tracking of the user's right-hand, gesture feature extraction, etc. using a single videocamera.
