ABOUT Exton|OS is based on Ubuntu 24.04 64 bit and Debian Sid. Exton|OS ISO file is a ISO-hybrid, which means that it can easily be transferred (copied) to a USB stick. IMPORTANT ABOUT REFRACTA TOOLS Refracta tools are pre-installed in Exton|OS . Use Refracta Snapshot to create your own live installable Ubuntu system. RUNS FROM RAM Another great thing is that Exton|OS can run from RAM. Use Boot alternative 2 (Load to RAM). When the system has booted up you can remove the disc (DVD/CD) or USB stick. You'll need at least 4 GB RAM to run Exton|OS that way. I.e. super fast! USB installation To enable persistence you can install Exton|OS to a USB stick in the same way as a hard drive installation. You can use Refracta Installer. ANDROID STUDIO You can emulate different Android systems (with GAPPS). If you have plenty of RAM you can do it live. I.e. while running Exton|OS from a USB stick. AndEX Nougat/Marshmallow/Lollipop

I have compiled three Android-x86 systems (Nougat 7.1.2, Marshmallow 6.0.1 and Lollipop 5.1.1), which can run live or be installed on almost all laptops (and some Desktop computers). INSTALL the systems to HARD DRIVE Say for example that you have a laptop with Windows 10 installed as the only operating system. If you just create one extra partition of about 5 GB you can install Nougat/Marshmallow/Lollipop on this extra partition and then “dual-boot”. I.e. decide whether you want to start Windows or Android-x86 Marshmallow/Lollipop. Grub will be installed as boot handler/loader during the installation of Android Marshmallow/Lollipop. NOTE: The installation will take only about one minute. And the installation to hard drive is so simple that a 10 year old child can do it. MORE ABOUT AndEX Nougat is the latest version of the Android mobile operating system developed by Google. -
