Open Source C++ Game Engines for Windows

The primary goal of The Opensource Game Studio Team is the creation of the free Toolset for creating the computer games, and also the creation of games with its aid. At present we developing the game engine, in which, we try to combine the best things, that we managed to find in the the world Opensource and Freeware with our own developments. Right now we are working on creation of a mahjong solitaire game, it'll be a first step in a long path to our toolset and full scale RPG in the end.

The Lambda-Engine is a cross platform game engine written in C++. It simplifies core tasks, such as rendering/graphics, sound, physics, math, scene and resource management. It is still *far* from finished, but I am working on it :)

WGFX is a (Windows Graphics Functions of DirectX) which is comprised of a set of (C++, C#) wrapper classes for writing Windows games. Yaooe is creating yet another object oriented, isometric, tile-based game engine. In a second step, a real time strategy game will be built upon the yaooe-engine.

Open2GE (2 - dimensional Game Engine) is a universal game engine, with a focus on isometric games. Based on OpenGL & SDL, it supports a wide range of features, useful for simple 2D games or complex isometric games, from simple image loading to the rendering of complex scenes, path finding, automatic navigation mesh generation and more. Besides OpenGL and SDL, Open2GE makes use of TinyXML and boost.
