    Actix

    Actix

    Actor framework for Rust

Actor framework for Rust. Actix uses the Tokio runtime. System::new() creates a new event loop. System.run() starts the Tokio event loop, and will finish once the System actor receives the SystemExit message. Spawning a new actor is achieved via the start and create methods of the Actor trait. It provides several different ways of creating actors; for details, check the docs. You can implement the started, stopping and stop methods of the Actor trait. started gets called when the actor starts and stops when the actor finishes. Check the API docs for more information on the actor lifecycle. An Actor communicates with another Actor by sending messages. In actix all messages are typed. Let's define a simple Sum message with two usize parameters and an actor which will accept this message and return the sum of those two numbers. Here we use the #[actix::main] attribute as an easier way to start our System and drive our main function.

    Graph Node

    Graph Node

Graph Node indexes data from blockchains such as Ethereum

The Graph is an indexing protocol for querying networks like Ethereum and IPFS. Anyone can build and publish open APIs, called subgraphs, making data easily accessible. Subgraphs can be composed into a global graph of all the world's public information. This data can be transformed, organized, and shared across applications for anyone to query with just a few keystrokes. Before The Graph, teams had to develop and operate proprietary indexing servers. This required significant engineering and hardware resources and broke the important security properties required for decentralization. All data is stored and processed on open networks with verifiable integrity. The Graph makes querying this data fast, reliable, and secure. Entrepreneurs are creating next level apps to scale human coordination on the internet. It's a new frontier and we're just getting started.

Semi-automatic OSINT framework and package manager

sn0int is a semi-automatic OSINT framework and package manager. It was built for IT security professionals and bug hunters to gather intelligence about a given target or about yourself. sn0int is enumerating attack surfaces by semi-automatically processing public information and mapping the results in a unified format for follow-up investigations. sn0int is heavily inspired by recon-ng and maltego, but remains more flexible and is fully opensource. None of the investigations listed above are hardcoded in the source, instead, those are provided by modules that are executed in a sandbox. You can easily extend sn0int by writing your own modules and sharing them with other users by publishing them to the sn0int registry.

    tree-sitter

    tree-sitter

An incremental parsing system for programming tools

Tree-sitter is a parser generator tool and an incremental parsing library. It can build a concrete syntax tree for a source file and efficiently update the syntax tree as the source file is edited. General enough to parse any programming language. Fast enough to parse on every keystroke in a text editor. Robust enough to provide useful results even in the presence of syntax errors. Dependency-free so that the runtime library (which is written in pure C) can be embedded in any application. All of Tree-sitter’s parsing functionality is exposed through C APIs. Applications written in higher-level languages can use Tree-sitter via binding libraries like node-tree-sitter or the tree-sitter rust crate, which have their own documentation. To build the library on a POSIX system, just run make in the Tree-sitter directory. This will create a static library called libtree-sitter.a as well as dynamic libraries.

    Lighthouse Ethereum

    Lighthouse Ethereum

    Ethereum consensus client in Rust

Lighthouse is an Ethereum consensus client that connects to other Ethereum consensus clients to form a resilient and decentralized proof-of-stake blockchain. Lighthouse is available on Linux and macOS via the Homebrew package manager. We implement the specification as defined in the ethereum/consensus-specs repository. Becoming an Ethereum consensus validator is rewarding, but it's not for the faint of heart. You'll need to be familiar with the rules of staking (e.g., rewards, penalties, etc.) and also configuring and managing servers. You'll also need at least 32 ETH! Security-focused. Fuzzing techniques have been continuously applied and several external security reviews have been performed. Built in Rust, a modern language providing unique safety guarantees and excellent performance (comparable to C++). Funded by various organizations, including Sigma Prime, the Ethereum Foundation, ConsenSys, the Decentralization Foundation and private individuals.

    log4rs

    log4rs

A highly configurable logging framework for Rust

log4rs is a highly configurable logging framework modeled after Java's Logback and log4j libraries. If you are using the file rotation in your configuration there is a known substantial performance issue so listen up! By default the gzip feature is enabled and when rolling files it will zip log archives automatically. This is a problem when the log archives are large as the zip happens in the main thread and will halt the process while the zip is completed. Be advised that the gzip feature will be removed from default features as of 1.0.

    warp

    warp

A super-easy, composable, web server framework for warp speeds

The fundamental building block of warp is the Filter, they can be combined and composed to express rich requirements on requests. A Filter in warp is essentially a function that can operate on some input, either something from a request, or something from a previous Filter, and returns some output, which could be some app-specific type you wish to pass around, or can be some reply to send back as an HTTP response. That might sound simple, but the exciting part is the combinators that exist on the Filter trait. These allow composing smaller Filters into larger ones, allowing you to modularize, and reuse any part of your web server. As awesome as the Filter system is, if warp didn’t provide common web server features, it’d still be annoying to work with. Thus, warp provides a bunch of built-in Filters, allowing you to compose the functionality you need to describe each route or resource or sub-whatever.

    Relay

    Relay

JavaScript framework for building data-driven React applications

Relay is data-fetching turned declarative. Components declare their data dependencies, without worrying about how to fetch them. Relay guarantees that the data each component needs is fetched and available. This keeps components decoupled and promotes reuse. With Relay, components and their data dependencies can be quickly modified without modifying other parts of the system. That means you won't accidentally break other components as you refactor or make changes to your app. Relay's compiler aggregates and optimizes the data requirements for your entire app, so that they can be efficiently fetched in a single GraphQL request. Relay handles the heavy lifting to ensure the data declared by your components is fetched in the most efficient way. For example, by deduplicating identical fields, and precomputing information used at runtime, among other optimizations. Relay also supports executing GraphQL Mutations, optionally with optimistic updates, and updates to local data.

    Rocket

    Rocket

    A web framework for Rust

Rocket is a web framework for Rust that makes it simple to write fast, secure web applications without sacrificing flexibility, usability, or type safety. Handling forms is simple and easy. Simply derive FromForm for your structure and let Rocket know which parameter to use. Rocket parses and validates the form request, creates the structure, and calls your function. Bad form request? Rocket doesn’t call your function! What if you want to know if the form was bad? Simple! Change the type of task to Option or Result! Rocket has first-class support for JSON, right out of the box. Simply derive Deserialize or Serialize to receive or return JSON, respectively. Like other important features, JSON works through Rocket’s FromData trait, Rocket’s approach to deriving types from body data. It works like this: specify a data route parameter of any type that implements FromData. A value of that type will then be created automatically from the incoming request body.

    Rouille

    Rouille

    Web framework in Rust

Rouille is a micro-web-framework library. It creates a listening socket and parses incoming HTTP requests from clients, then gives you the hand to process the request. Rouille was designed to be intuitive to use if you know Rust. Contrary to express-like frameworks, it doesn't employ middlewares. Instead, everything is handled in a linear way. Concepts closely related to websites (like cookies, CGI, form input, etc.) are directly supported by rouille. More general concepts (like database handling or templating) are not directly handled, as they are considered orthogonal to the microweb framework. However, rouille's design makes it easy to use in conjunction with any third-party library without the need for any glue code. The rouille library just ignores this optimization and focuses on providing an easy-to-use synchronous API instead, where each request is handled in its own dedicated thread.

    Valence

    Valence

A Rust framework for building Minecraft servers

Rust framework for building Minecraft: Java Edition servers. Built on top of Bevy ECS, Valence is an effort to create a Minecraft-compatible server completely from scratch in Rust. You can think of Valence as a game engine for Minecraft servers. It doesn't do much by default, but by writing game logic yourself and leveraging Bevy's powerful plugin system, you can make almost anything. Opinionated features like dynamic scripting, dedicated executables, and vanilla game mechanics are all expected to be built as optional plugins. This level of modularity is desirable for those looking to build highly custom experiences in Minecraft such as minigame servers.
