Tool for copy partitions to another HDD. FreeBSD stores its data on partitions, which incapsulated in slices. Soft, such as Partition Magic, Acronis, etc. detect only slice, not real partitions on that slice. CloneHDD correctly understand size diference.

LftpFS is FUSE filesystem with caching for smart mirror of sites. Useful for mirroring of Linux repositories. It's based on LFTP client, which supports FTP, HTTP, FISH, SFTP, HTTPS, FTPS protocols and works over proxies.

Wayback is user-level versioning file system for Linux. Wayback allows for remounting of any file system to add transparent versioning.

fs-check checks filesystem sizes to see if they are getting too full. It uses a configuration file that specifies the filesystems to check, email contacts, trigger thresholds (percentage or amount used/unused), and a report program to run.

BASSHFS is similar to the existing SSHFS utility except it is does not require FUSE kernel support. Instead, BASSHFS uses the aliasing and function mechanisms of the bash shell to intercept program invocations and remap those that are supported to its own versions.

The Common Scripting Interface is a pseudofs which provides simple data via Read Write calls much the same as procfs. The goal is to drop the overhead of scripts and up efficiency by removing the need for multiple instances of the same library in RAM

CopyFS is a copy-on-write, versionned filesystem based on Fuse.

A method of file compresison where the value of all the binary information in a file as one figure is divided by a number, therefore shirtening the size of the file. To decompress you multiply it by that number again.

The GPFS Monitor Suite was developed at the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR) to assist with the deployment and operation of the GLADE storage envrionment, which utilizes IBM's General Parallel File System (GPFS). The suite uses perl scripts and Ganglia to provide low impact near real time monitoring of a GPFS multi-cluster environment consisting of 4,700+ Linux systems.
