The use of calculation models together with experimental tests is producing unquestionable successes due to the fact that both techniques complement each other. 1D wave action models simplify the engine by means of ducts, where only one dimension is considered, and volumes where mass accumulation is considered and the gas properties are uniform in the entire element. Finally, non dimensional models are used to solve connections between 1D and 0D elements. Thanks to more than 20 years, more than 10 PhD Thesis and many research projects and publications, CMT-Motores Térmicos has developed an own 1D gasdynamic tool called OpenWAMTM which gathers an important know-how on air management, compressible flow, turbocharging, chemical species tracking, numerical analysis and many other aspects of engine modeling.

The target users will layout their design and then immediately generate CNC code. The goal is a design application closer to Adobe Illustrator than to AutoCAD. The user specifies machining aspects during object creation so that when the design/layout phase is completed the toolpath generation can occur automatically. What is 2.5D? Objects created are flat (2D) but have a depth component. So you can create a square that will be machined at a specific depth but the depth will be constant accross the square. Demonstrates a quadtree for spatial indexing of triangles
This C++ demo allows users to interactively explore a quadtree's behavior. For this purpose the demo uses a quadtree data structure based on axis-aligned bounding boxes to speed up the search for triangles in a mesh. Depending on a search point all triangles of a quadtree's region are retrieved and relevant information about the search is shown. Quadtree creation can be parametrized by three parameters: - Maximum tree depth. - Maximum number of triangles per region. - Percentage of total number of triangles per region. The OpenGL graphics library is used to render the results, regions as well as the underlying triangle mesh. Navigation (e.g. zooming, moving) is available by keyboard and mouse. Example meshes are provided in wavefront *.obj format and can be opened from inside the program. -
