This tool was originally written to replace the massive amounts of email sent out by automated build scripts. Once this tool is deployed to a server, your scripts can simply use a HTTP Post to submit events, and users can subscribe to the RSS feed to receive updates, instead of receiving an email for each event. It is trivial to add a new feed, and using http to submit events means that firewalls are (usually) not a concern.

Get up and running in seconds with the built-in development server. No need to have a pre-existing server installed on your machine to start developing. Your HTML, styles, and scripts will be automatically linked, concatenated, and minified for optimal loading speed in production. Write your CSS with Sass or Less and without vendor prefixes. Your styles will be automatically processed and prefixed with data based on current browser popularity. All changes to your files while developing are monitored in real-time. Any change to HTML, js, CSS, or images is automatically reloaded in your browser. Images are optimized and compressed for your production build, significantly reducing the overall size of your website files for optimized loading times.

This Vue CLI preset allows you to quickly start a web extension. Everything you need to build a web extension (manifest.json, .zip building, etc.), thanks to adambullmer/vue-cli-plugin-browser-extension. Build the extension into the dist folder for production. A zip file is also built and is located in the artifacts directory. Build the extension for development and watch over file changes. It also automatically reloads your extension into your browsers. If you are using GitHub Actions, you can easily automatically build a zip of your extension and create a new GitHub release, each time a new tag is pushed. If running webpack in watch mode, you need to stop and restart webpack to apply configuration changes.
