Probably the most portable DJing software solution ever. Convert your audio both into mp3 and ogg, put it on a USB key with the ShanDJ.html file, and go DJ on any machine with a web browser newer than 2008. Please both read this and refer to the project wiki for complete information. This is not meant to be used over the internet. You'll have to download it, place the ShanDj.html file in the directory where the audio files are, then open it in your web browser. Audio formats supported are varying depending on the browser. HTML5 browser support and Javascript required (browsers newer than 2008). Features simple playlists and a crossfader to mix between two currently played tracks, and a RobotDJ mode. If you are looking for a similar tool, but for use over internet instead of locally, you should take a look at Slcnc CMS, from the same developer, which integrates DJing over internet among other features.

Livemix will search directory tree for audio files, assuming each of them is a separate track, then group them into sessions based on file size, and then create a downmix for each session. Silent tracks are ignored, the others are processed by applying some effects such as compand, then normalized and then combined into downmix with equal volume. Sessions are named by the time of recording in YYYYMMDD-HHMMSS format. Intended use is to quickly generate mp3 previews of live multitrack music recordings (such as rehearsals or live performances), created by some sound recording software (Avid ProTools or Audacity for example). Livemix uses SoX sound processing utity to do all the work with tracks preprocessing and mixing, and LAME mp3 encoder to produce final mp3 file. Therefore, livemix needs sox and lame executables to be in search path or in the same dir as livemix executable.

Multi-MPD (Music Player Daemon) is a web-based client for controlling multiple instances of MPD with multiple outputs each, managing output routing, playlists, and browsing and loading net radio streams (eg Shoutcast, Sky.FM/Digitally Imported).
